Chapter 6

*week later*

Anna's POV.

I pack my pillow and blanket in back of my car, tossing my duffle bag in with them. I close the trunk and walk around to the side door.

"Be safe, Anna!" My mom says from the garage door. I smile and wave. "Have fun too!" She shouts. I nod and smile. I get in my car. I close the door and set up my phone with the address to the concert venue entered in the GPS.

I put in one of my 5SOS cd's and start playing the first track. I slide my sunglasses down and start to back out of the driveway.

I told my mom I'm going to Jace's house for the night. She was totally okay with it. She treats him as if he's family, and I love that.

Only, I'm not going to his house.

I should be back around noon tomorrow. I'm just hoping this works out.

I park in one of the parking spaces in the outside lot of the hotel. I turn off my car and sigh. I grab my phone and read my messages from the past two hours.

Jace: dude, blackbear cancelled his concert...

Jace: are you still driving?

Jace: shit get back here.

My eyes widen. I gasp as I exit out of messages. I go to twitter, and look up Blackbears account. I find his recent tweet from last night.

Blackbear: sorry for the last notice. I've been sick for a couple days and the doctor wants me to lay easy until my throats gets better. I'll make it up, San Diego. Promise!

I tilt my head back and groan. "Fuck!" I shout. I text Cailyn.

Anna: you didn't know about this? *link to tweet*

Cailyn: no. you've got to be kidding me?

Anna: it's fucking real

Cailyn: well, we've got a sweet party going on up on the rooftop of the hotel. come on up.

I shake my head. I get out of my car and stretch quick, finally standing up after driving for nearly three hours. I grab my purse and close the door. I lock it.

I sigh as I shove my phone in my back pocket. I walk to the entrance of the hotel. I open the door, walking in and smelling the clean smell of hotel lobbies.

I walk to the left side hall. I walk to the end of it, making my way to the stairs. I open the door and walk over, letting it close behind me.

I walk upstairs, to the sixth level. I make my way to the top floor, and open the glass door. I walk into the indoor bar and dining area, but I see the party outside by the pool. I sigh.

I walk over to the doors and open one, walking out to the patio. The music blares from the speakers, and I see the smoke from blunts, cigarettes, and vapes, floating up from the multiple crowds.

I look around for Cailyn, and even Alexia. I don't want to hang out with her, but I'm guessing now that the concerts a bust, this is what's gonna be happening most of the night.

I get bumped into by some guy who's attempting to mosh pit. I turn to the large crowd. I let out a breath and step back. I look over to the pool and see Cailyn hanging out with some guy.

I walk over to the pool. Cailyn looks up at me and smiles. "Anna! Come here!" She says. I smile and walk faster.

"Hey!" I say.
