Anna's POV.

I pull into Jace's driveway, parking my car. I turn it off as I run my fingers through my hair. I look at his garage door, and close my eyes.

Last night was the WORST night of my life.

Jace doesn't even know any of it.

I grab my phone from the cup holder. I pull it out and grab my keys. I open the door and get out of the car. I close the door, hearing the front door open. I turn around and see his mom walking outside. She looks at me and smiles.

"Anna! What a surprise, I didn't expect you to be here this early?" She exclaims, walking towards me.

"Uh, yeah. I gotta get home by eleven, but I thought I should come by and see Jace for a bit. I got in some trouble last night and I probably won't be outside much for the next month," I say. She tilts her head.

"What did you do that was that bad?"

My eyes widen as I purse my lips. "I kinda snuck off to San Diego and got in a couple fights, just stupid stuff that I really shouldn't of done," I say shaking my head.

Nana nods. "Well, that'll do it," She says, chuckling. I nod and giggle.

"I gotta run to the store, were out of milk and eggs. Jace is up in his room sleeping still," She says, patting my shoulder. I smile and nod. She walks off to her car. I walk over and open the front door, closing it behind me.

I quietly walk upstairs, making my way to Jace's room. I see the door closed, and gently knock on it. I open it a crack and see him sprawled out on his bed. I smile.

I open it enough for me to get in, and I close it. I set my phone and keys on the dresser next to the door. I walk over and sit on the end of the bed.

"Wake up, sleepy-head!" I whisper, leaning down next to him. He cracks a smile.

"Anna? What are you doing here?" He asks, his voice raspy.

"Your bitch got in some trouble last night. Almost got arrested for assault, possession, under the influence of a narcotic, and underage drinking. But instead, just got a hard lecture on life from my mom and I'm grounded for a month."

Jace rolls over and looks at me. "You didn't?!"

I nod, "I did."

He sits up and looks at me. "Fuck, Alexia?"

I nod. "One thick black eye after she shoved me and punched my nose."

His eyes widen as he gasps. He looks down, then up. "I can't believe you-"

"She deserved it," I say, shaking my head. I laugh. He laughs.

"So you had drugs on you?"

I sigh. "I was drunk and bought some Percocet off some thirsty asshole. I ended up giving some to Cailyn and Alexia. Cailyn's another story, dude."

He nods. "So that's why you weren't answering me," He says, smirking. I smile and nod.

"What did Cailyn do?" He asks, reaching for his pack of cigarettes in the nightstand drawer.

"After my fight with Alexia, and the security guy had me pulled back from her, she literally said I couldn't stay with them in the hotel. So if it weren't for the police officer and front desk woman, I wouldn't of had a place to sleep."

His eyes widen as he lights his cigarette. "So she sided with Alexia?"

I nod.

"What a bitch" He shakes his head. "She invited you in the first place!"
