"Hey son, I haven't seen you in so long." The man I once called 'dad' came to the door.

"Whatchu' just call me?" I furrowed my eyebrows making sure I heard him right the first time.

"I said hey so-

"Don't you even finish that fucking sentence."

"Now you hold on right there young man, I'm still your father you hear me!"

"Father? You ain't no motherfckin' father to me, and don't you ever let that word come out ya fuckin' mouth to me. You fucking bum."

"Jordan, watch your mouth. This is your father!" My mom came running toward the door.

Closing my eyes sighing deeply. "Mom, that man standing right there like a fuckin' bum he is, no fuckin' father to me." I didn't want to curse at my mom, but I'm livid.

"Jordan, all he want to do is be in your life. He missed out on so much baby." She pleaded with me grabbing my hand.

"Son, I just want to be in you in the boys life. I missed out on so much, let me just make it up to you."

"Whatever man, you can't make up nothing now. It's too late, the damage is done now. You weren't there for me to teach me how to ride my bike. Mommy was, you weren't there when I needed to learn about the birds and the bees. Mommy was. You weren't there when I went on my senior prom. Mommy was. And you weren't there when I graduated from high school. Mommy was. Like always, you never was fucking there!"

"Jordan baby." My mom wiped a single tear that ran down my cheek.

"Son, I'm sorry." My 'dad' tried to grab me.

"I'm out." I snatched away from my mom walking from the house toward my car, I just need to get away from everyday.

Getting in my car and pulling off, I didn't know where I was going. I just wanted to get away.

-Flashback-

"Yo, I'm nervous ashit' bro." I chuckled fixing my cap on my head.

It was finally graduation day, and I'm officially about to be a grown up, no more getting up at 7, no more homework, no more teachers, no more nothing. I'm grown now.

"Nigga whatchu' nervous for? We finally out this bitch, we ain't gotta' worry about no more of these dickeating ass teachers." Tevon shook his head.

"Real shit tho." I watched Aniyah Anderson walked on state and accept her diploma.

"Yo, why my last name gotta' start with a B. I'm scared as fuck." I sighed taking off my cap wiping down my waves, then putting it back on.

"I'm happy mines start wit' a W, that's way down the line. I'm cool." Tevon chuckled. "It's like you not even have a chance to calm ya nervousness down, you go right up in like what, 5 minutes."
