"I don't even know what to say to em, to be honest."

"Just say how you feel, and let him tell you how he feel. You probably don't wanna hear it, but you have to in order to move past it. You can't hold it in forever baby."

"Ard." I sighed. "But it's gone be hard to sit there and listen to him make up bullshit excuses on why he wasn't in my life." I sucked my teeth.

"I know baby. But just listen to what he have to say, I don't want to say this. But he might have a good reason."

I squinted my eyes. "Christina don't make me get mad at you man. It's no excuse on why he wasn't in my life. C'mon man." I grabbed her lower back and we both entered the restaurant.

"You see them?" I looked around the restaurant searching for my 'parent' but I didn't see her.

"Come on baby, I see your mom. But I don't see your dad." Christina grabbed my hand and we both began to make our way toward the table.

"Look. He couldn't even show up to a dinner he planned and wanted me to attend to."

"Jordan." Christina smacked my arm. "Stop being so damn petty, he's probably running late."

"Yeah whatever." I took a seat a the table. "Sup mom?"

"Sup mom?" My mom squinted her eyes at me with a mean mug on her face. "Jordan Russel Bank. If you don't get ya ass up and come over here and speak to me correctly, I'm going to come across this table and smack the shit out of you. And you know I will."

I sighed getting up going over to hug, them sitting back down. "My bad mom, I'm just not feeling this sh-. I mean this stuff. I'm really not."

"You need to hear what he has to say."

"That's what I just told him."

"Christina." I glared at her. She need to mind her business, I brought her head to be on my side. Not everyone else's.

"Don't give her that look. She's right." My mom pointed at Christina.

I sighed sucking my teeth. "Whatever man." I mumbled not really caring at this point.

"You need to watch ya fucking mouth Jordan, I don't care how upset you are. That's ya soon to be wife, and I'm your mother. You getting a lil too disrespectful now."

I sighed running my hands down my waves. "You right, I apologize baby." I pecked Christina lips lightly. "I'm sorry mom." I leaned over the table kissing her forehead.

"That's better." My mom smiled down at me.

"So, what's taking him so long. He was supposed to been here right?"
