Kian's Pov

Honestly I was pretty excited to start school again, junior would be the year where I'd finish the rest of my credits so I'd have free periods for senior year. I was looking forward to that and the new people that would be coming in. They were always so scared because they're coming in as juniors or any other grade besides freshman, I loved making friends.

I almost fell out of bed watching the clock change to 7:30a.m as I skipped to my bathroom. I looked in the mirror, and a grin filled my whole face.
I jumped in the shower and started humming a few songs and drifted off into thinking about how this day was going to turn out again. The smile still never escaping my face.

I eventually made my way out of the house, saying my goodbyes and wiping the remnants of toast on my face before skipping to my car again, I really hope no one ever sees me doing that. Seriously.
I'm always relatively early to everything, but when I had gotten to school I realized I was going against the clock. I held my bag tightly, reading my schedule and I ran up the vacant stairs and down the hallway. I got in the class just as the bell rang, panting.

"Ah Lawley, you're a track star but you lost your breath on those stairs? I think we need to get you back on that track as soon as possible." Mr Dunn laughed, or coach Dunn as I call him. That's the track coach, he's full of dad jokes, side note, they're terrible.

I shook my head grinning as I scanned the room and saw the last open seat and slid right in. I looked to my side and saw just a mess of curls with his head his hands facing the other way. I looked to the other side and saw Connor sipping on his morning coffee. "Morning." I smiled widely and he did the same. But I looked back at the curly headed boy, scanning the curls that had a hint of purple in it and some pink. This intrigued me for some reason.
"Already tired on the first day?"

I said playfully, tugging on one of his curls.
The boy reacted slowly and lifted his head up, running his left hand through his hair before turning towards me.
"Just a little bit." He teased, his eyes full of exhaustion. "Just a little?"
I smiled, "the names Kian."
I put my hand out for him to shake, "mines Justin, but call me Jc." He shook mine back,
revealing his pearly white smile. Instantly taking me back a bit. "Nice to meet you." I insinuated, bittersweetly.
