Aztec:

"Aztec you need to kill him," she coughed blood as he took her hand in his. Her beautiful skin turning ashy and dry. Her wounds weren't healing and that was scaring me more.

I looked into her beautiful gray eyes. They dulled over time as the experience wearied her over. They were nothing but empty pools of ash that held sadness and pain.

"Pl..please I'll call someone, just hold on a little longer," I begged while looking anywhere to see if I found anyone. Anyone to help her fragile state. Her blood pooled around her and it wasn't stopping.

She was bleeding to death.

The wounds were inflicted with Franchesa, I could smell the sweet reeking smell from her body. Her blond-white hair was matted with blood as it changed the color. They looked straw like and the luster in it dwindled. She looked so different and my heart clenched at how much she changed.

"Why...why did he do this to you? What did you ever do to him?" I softly whispered while cradling her head to my chest. My eyes teared up as I felt how light she was.

"I said I hated him with every fiber I had in my body. I also added that I wished I was mated to someone else. That seemed to spice up things." She chuckled weakly and looked up at me. She was once so happy, but now it seemed all her emotions were sucked out of her.

"He seemed to get more upset at that." She whispered to herself and I saw the pain in her eyes. The betrayal of a mate seemed to hurt her more than the wounds she received.

"So he whips you to death!" I roared out feeling burning rage as I saw the wounds on her body. Her dress remained in shreds as the blood oozed out. I saw her flinch at the word death but we both knew it.

She was going to die.

Her mate was the one who killed her.

Demons were immortal, but there was one way to change that theory. We couldn't grow old or get sick and die. But if someone inserted just enough of Franchesa into a demon, that would be the way to kill them. Their insides would turn back to blood and simply bleed to death. It was a gruesome way to die and sadly the only way to do so.

My body shook as my beast tried to come out. I couldn't let it out, not yet. I needed to be with her. The only woman I ever cared for was in my arms, dying. And I knew I couldn't do anything to stop it.

"The only happiness I ever got from being with him was you." She whispered and stroked my face with her bloodied hand. I felt her softness stroke my cheek and tears started to fall. This was it.

I held her hand near my face and kissed it softly. She was the strongest woman I ever knew. Her beauty and grace was something she mastered. No matter how sad she ever was, she never failed to smile at me. She endured so much just to come crashing down in the end.

"I'm sorry I didn't come earlier, I'm so..so sorry." I cried while holding her close. It was my fault. If I had come a day earlier. If only I had known, then I would have never left her.

"No please baby, the last memory I want to see is of you smiling with me." She said while wiping my tears. She started to cough up more blood and I rubbed her back gently. She looked back at me and I saw the gray eyes that matched mine greatly.

"Aztec do me one thing, just one thing." She pleaded and I nodded my head. I would do whatever this woman told me to. She was my life and I would go to the ends of the earth for her.
