I didn't know if I was asleep or not.

It really didn't make any difference.

All I saw was darkness.

I tried to blink my eyes but a burning, throbbing pain was all I received. I tried to touch my eyes but I couldn't move at all.

I moved my head to the side but I couldn't. I was stiff and in pain. I didn't even hear my beast and that made me apprehensive. I tried to tune in with my surroundings but all I heard was silence. I willed myself to take deep breaths and take in everything.

I couldn't hear anything.

I couldn't see anything.

Shaking my body, I tried to get some feeling into it. There was nothing and the pain in my eyes was increasing. I was never afraid of the dark, but it was starting to get me antsy. I jerked my head to the side once I heard a door open. I could hear the sound of feet coming towards me and I growled in warning.

I smelled him before he even came.

"Bastard." I acknowledged with a sneer. I knew he finished off the king and a part of me was upset I couldn't see the life drain from his eyes. I wanted to feel the warm blood drip through my hands as I ripped his heart out.

"I see you're doing well jerk." His voice was a mocking one and I bared my teeth in a response.

The pain was getting worse and I held in a growl.

"What's going on with me? My eyes are killing me, I feel like clawing them out." I asked and groaned as another wave of hot pain came through. I tried to move my hands but nothing was moving.

"You really don't know do you?" He asked quietly and for once he was serious. That made me confused and upset. I was frustrated and the pain wasn't helping. I tried to open my eyes but I don't know if they were opened or not. It was pitch black.

"What do you mean? Why is everything so dark? Why the fuc-" I roared as a blinding pain came back. I writhed and tried to move. I tried to touch my eyes but it wasn't moving. I gasped as the pain started to dull.

"Dear jerk please hold still; I'm trying to help you. You keep moving and I won't release the binding spell." He said calmly while walking towards me. My senses were sharp as I picked up the air that shifted so slightly as he moved through them.

"Why the hell should I trust you?" I asked hoarsely. The pain was draining me out faster than ever. The throbbing was coming back and I gritted my teeth. The bastard was sly but I had no choice.

"You have no choice now do you?" He asked, speaking my own thoughts. I felt a weight lift from my body and I groaned in relief. I felt everything more and I didn't know if I enjoyed it that much.

I slowly lifted my hand in front of my face. I didn't see anything. I moved my hands back and forth and I still saw nothing.

"Why can't I see Salem?" I asked worryingly as I strained my eyes to look at my hand. There was still darkness and fear was lodging itself in me. The answer was something I was dreading and a small part of me knew already.

"Why dear brother, the dear king has literally clawed your eyes out." He said and I heard him move around the move. Bottles clinked and I heard him pour things out. Every sound I heard ringing in my ears and imprinted itself on me.
