Enid's POV:

"You too, Enid." Ethan's voice broke through the horrible images I had been experiencing right there in front of everyone. I glared at him, he just shrugged in return.

I did not want to see Aiden being lovey dovey with Dri, specifically kissing her. I could not imagine what I would do if I were to see that. I cursed myself for thinking such insensitive things at times like this.

"Sure, please." I said and Aiden stood up. I hated myself for thinking that Aiden was too eager to see Dri. I hated the thought. That thought in itself was repulsive for me.

"This way." Dr. Bale said and led us to the room 3045. He opened the door for us, only to see Dri on the hospital bed, with the two officers on one side and her parents on the other side of the bed. Her head was bandaged, hand plastered.

'Does she remember anything, how this happened?' My thoughts were broken when the officers went past me.

Something happened in that moment and I kept looking at the back of the retrieving police officers. Dri's parents also went out of the room, past us with the doctor, talking among themselves.

Then, the memory came back in a flash to me. "Mr. Aiden, Mr. Enid, afternoon."

How could he know my name? I did not remember telling him that. I had to know how he knew what my name was. I was about to say something about that when Dri's sweet voice came.

"Baby, come in." That sweet as chilli voice made me throw up, but Aiden seemed entranced, which I would not lie about, hurt me a lot.

That's what happens when you fall in love, you idiot. A not-so-helping voice said in my head. I shook my head to clear the thought. I could not just stand there and see them together when Dri would try to be all over Aiden. So, I did what I was intending to do. I went after the officers.

I passed my group of friends, dodging their "Have you seen her?", "What did she say?", "Can we meet her?" etc. with a simple, "I'll be back in a moment."

The officers were not on the third floor. So, I took the elevator and went to the ground floor. All this time, my hands were sweaty and my heart beat was fast. What was happening to me?

As I reached the ground floor, my eyes went straight to the entrance of the hospital. The two officers were almost out of the door when I yelled for them to stop.

"Officers!"

They stopped in their tracks. "Yes?" Officer Rosenberg asked as I stopped in front of them.

"How do you know my name when I haven't told you, yet, at least I don't remember?" I asked.

"Err, we did a little research on our own, you know." He explained.

My heart rate slowed down a bit. "About me?"

"Well, we have to know who were involved in this accident and if it was really an accident or not etcetera." Officer Burnn said.

"Is it?" I asked, more curious than I should be.

"What, an accident?" I nodded my head. "Yes, it was. We got the cctv footage of the accident just now. She was not talking on phone when the accident occurred." Officer Burnn explained. "It was just a hit and run case."

I nodded dumbly, not knowing what to say anymore. "Well, if you don't have anything else to say, we'll be on our way." Officer Rosenberg said and they left.

I stood there shocked. 'If it was an accident or not.' 'It was just a hit and run case.'

Just? It was not a just. She was on the hospital bed, lost her memory, thinking Aiden was still her boyfriend and I could not help but think that my relationship sank before it even sailed.

"What was that all about?" I jumped as a voice came from behind me. I turned around only to see it was Rick.

I sighed out. "Nothing."

"Are you sure? That looked pretty awkward on both of your sides." Yeah, I felt like that too.

I nodded my head. "Let's go inside."

He shrugged and held the door open for me. I rolled my eyes before going in. We went to the third floor and to the Dri's room. Just as I was about to enter the room, I stopped dead in my steps. Through the glass section of the door I could see them together on the bed, they were hugging each other.

I gulped down the lump in my throat. This scene felt oddly private, if I were to intrude, I would not be forgiven. So, when a hand came on my shoulder, I stepped away on my own will. Oh, right, Rick was there with me. His hand was still on my shoulder when he looked through the glass section too.

"Enid." I looked up at him from the floor. He gave me a sad smile. I returned him with an assuring one of my own.

Just that moment Aiden came out and it looked like he was startled. As Rick took his hand back from my shoulder, Aiden's face twisted into something that I did not recognise.

"Great. You're here with Rick." He gritted out.

"Aiden, how's she?" I asked.

"If you wanted to know, you should've come inside with me."

"Aiden!" I warned.

"I'll go tell Amy and others that they can come and meet with Dri if they want to." Rick said and fled the spot.

We both kept staring at each other. "What was that all about, Aiden?"

"I should've asked you that." He said and came closer.

"I went downstairs to..." I sighed out. "And Rick just happened to there." I pleaded with my words.

His face softened. "I don't even know what to say."

"What about you on bed with Dri?" I asked, my arms crossed over my chest.

"What?! You made it sound like..." He started disbelieving. Hell, even I could not believe that I had said that. "Oh, Enid." Were his last words before he shook his head and walked away, away from me, again. I could only stare at his back.

"Hey." I came back as Ethan shook me. "You okay?"

I nodded my head. "Go ahead and meet her. I'm gonna go home."

For the rest of the day neither did I called Aiden nor did he. I did not even asked about dad which I felt guilty about later. I took a long shower, had my lunch and went to sleep, hoping that the next day would be better.

A/n: I felt like I was repetitive in this chapter. Well, a vain attempt to make this longer.
