Aiden's POV:

I looked at Enid as everyone was rushing out of our last class of the day. He seemed a little off today. I knew things were not as smooth as it should have been between us and I was on the edge to tell Dri everything, but then again, if her health detoriated, it would be cent percent my fault.

In my haze, I failed to realize that I was staring at Enid, only to come back to reality when he waved his hand in front of my face. I shook my head and smiled at him, not caring if I looked like a fool.

"What happened?" He asked.

I should have been the one to ask him that question. "Nothing. What's up with you?"

He smiled. "You've to go to Dri's house, yeah?" I nodded reluctantly. "Pick me up for school tomorrow." He pecked my lips and stood up.

By then, the class was pretty much empty except for us.

"Wait, you didn't tell me where you were this morning."

He looked at me and smiled sweetly, his eyes went soft. "Remember my condition? Tell me, you missed me."

The words rolled out of my mouth before I could stop them. "I missed you." Then, I straightened up in my seat, clearing my throat. "I was worried about you."

It was embarrassing to tell him so easily what he wanted to hear. He leaned down and brushed his fingers against my cheeks. I could feel myself getting redder.

"I missed you too." He kissed me so softly that I could feel tingling down my spine, at the same time, he left me wanting for more.

He was pulling away when I pulled him back by his neck. I could feel him smiling into the kiss.

Enid moaned when our tongues met. My fingers buried into his hair when he pulled me up by my waist and placed me on the table, not breaking the kiss. I shivered when his hand went under my shirt.

God, it was heaven.

My eyes rolled behind my closed lids. I forget everything for a few seconds there, only the sensation of Enid's presence and his touches on my body.

I felt vulnerable as he pushed my legs apart and stood in between them, pressing us even closer.

I had to come up for air, but I did not want to let him go. So, I kept him in place by his shirt as I pulled my lips away and rested my forehead against his, panting as if I had ran a thousand mile.

It was satisfying that Enid was as affected as I. He chuckled breathlessly as he leaned into and kissed me on my nose, my hands came up to cup his cheeks.

"Let's go home after practice." He whispered so softly that it got me harder.

I groaned remembering Dri had asked me to go to her house. Although I could always cancel and go home with Enid.

"I'm to go to Dri's today. Maybe I can cancel it and go to yours." I suggested hopefully.

He turned it down just as casually. "You told Dri you would meet her today and you should. Maybe come back after that and have dinner with me?" He suggested back and we agreed on it.

As planned after practice, I went to Dri's house. I was so tired today. I had been worried sick about Enid this morning, which I just realized he had not said where exactly he had been. I should have asked Sam though. Then, the classes were as usually boring.

After school, the practice was stressful as the game was on the next Friday and coach was stressed, as always and now, Dri...

I rang the doorbell and waited for it to be opened. Finally, Dri's mom opened it with a welcoming smile and led me to the living room.

"I'll let Dri know. Want something to drink?" She asked and I denied politely before she went upstairs.

After a few moments, Dri came down, looking nervous. "Hey." She greeted.

"Hey, what is it that you wanted?" I asked with a sigh.

Dri gave me a tight lipped smile before sitting down next to me. Taking my hand in her, she spoke up. "Aiden, you're the best friend one could ask for." I was confused. What was she on about? "I want to thank you for what you did in the last month."

"What're you talking about?" I asked, doubting my own ears.

"I remember everything."

It took awhile for guessing correctly what she was saying. "What... really? How?" I was so happy for her and myself too.

"I had this dream today and when I woke up, I remembered about the accident and everything. Well, thank you for being there with me." I smiled at her. It was so unbelievable and just... great.

"That's amazing, Dri." Her grip on my hand tightened.

"Yeah, you don't have to pretend." She smiled.

I don't have to pretend. That was so right. I stood up and pulled her into a hug. "Yup, I don't." I let her go and looked into her eyes. "I'm happier for you. You're free too."

"Free? Too...?" Her smile seemed to falter. "Yeah, now you can propose to Enid finally." She punched me on the shoulder playfully.

I blushed, only if she knew. I laughed and picked up my bag. "Really tired today. See you in the school tomorrow?"

"Sure." She nodded and I walked out of her house.

Getting into the car, I could not contain my smile. I could not wait to tell Enid this news.

When I reached Enid's house, dinning table was already set. Everyone was sitting down. I quickly put my bag down and sat next to Enid.

I smiled at him and he raised an eye brow at me before smiling, showing off his perfect teeth.

"What's got you in good mood?" Enid's mom asked, smiling lovingly at me.

"Dri has gotten her memory back." I blurted out excitedly.

"What do you mean?" Enid asked, clearly he was as unable to digest the news as I.

"Meaning, she remembers everything again. I don't have to pretend to be her boyfriend anymore, Enid." I took his hand into mine under the table.

"She lied to you again?" Ethan spoke up.

Lied again? "What're you saying?" When Ethan did not answer me, I asked him again. "Ethan?"

"Ethan, Aiden's asking you something. Honey, what's going on?"

Embarrassed, with red face, Ethan stood up and left. I was trying to gauge up the situation.

I looked at Enid so he could help me figure this out, but he was looking at our intertwined hands with pale face. Whatever it was, he definitely knew about it and did not tell me. I was hurt.

Apparently, he would not tell me. Well, I would ask Ethan, then.
