Enid's POV:

I shut the door of my bedroom so forcefully that the sound rang in my ear. Aiden had missed the practice and coach had blamed it all on me and in a way, of course, he was right. I was the one to be blamed and I needed end it. But, how?

Wrecking my head for ideas, I came up with the most simple, yet the most far-fetched one. I would just talk to him, even if it meant to force him to listen to me.

He was angry with me for not telling him, trusting him, but he could never stay angry with me for long.

Sighing, I got up and went to the bathroom for a quick shower. Putting my clothes on, I picked up my phone from bed and went for the door, but it opened on its own.

There stood Ethan in my doorway. "What happened?"

I took a deep breath. "I don't have time to say it all. I'm going to Aiden's."

I pushed past him and he followed me.

"Have you decided how you're gonna kill me?" He asked.

I turned around to face him. "What're you talking about?"

"You know, how I made the situation worse by opening my stupid mouth and now he won't even talk to you," he scrunched up his nose as if he had smelled something foul, "Which, if you ask me, is appropriate too. If I had loved you, I'd be angry with you too."

I glared at him. I knew it already. He was upset and hurt and I needed to give him space, but, "I'm going to sort out this mess." I told him and got out of the house.

Reaching Aiden's house, I stood there for awhile, sorting out what I should say and what I should not and how not to get my foot in my mouth.

Mrs. O'hara greeted me as she opened the door. I smiled and went towards Aiden's room.

I stood outside the room, asking myself whether I should knock on the door or walk into the room as I was used to. As always, I opened the door. Aiden was curled up into a ball on the bed with his back facing the door.

"I don't want any snack, O. Go away." Aiden said in such a small voice that it broke my heart. When the door did not get closed, he turned around and seeing me standing there, he frowned. "Why're you here?"

I shut the door behind me and went to his bed. "Just to talk."

"Now, you wanna talk?" Aiden asked, incredulous and slid down the bed to sit on the floor.

I hesitantly sat beside him. "It's never too late."

He snorted. "Never say never."

I licked my lips. "Good comeback."

He looked at me and bit his lips. "Seriously, why are you here?"

"To say I'm sorry, so so sorry that I've not told you about the whole event sooner, but you've to believe that-"

Aiden did not let me finish my sentence. "I trust you."

I gulped down the lump that formed hearing his words. Yeah, I knew that he trusted me, that he would even believe me even if I said that I had seen an alien, then why did I not tell him sooner?

"Aiden, you didn't even let me finish."

"I'm still mad at you for not telling me, and mad at myself that you don't trust me enough. Do you have any doubt of my love for you, too?"

When he cleared his throat, I wrapped my hands around him to pull him to me.

"Don't ever say it like that. I love you, Aiden."
