A/n: Hey, guys, this chapter has (in the middle of the story) a twelve days long gap where Dri had recovered, was discharged from the hospital and back to school.

Warning: Ultra BORING.

Enid's POV:

It was Tuesday, after school that St. Peter's high's that boy, three other teammates with their coach came to our school. The only persons that were allowed to be present in princi's office were principal himself, Aiden, that boy, two coaches and a member from our school board who happened to be our uncle, but our parents never talked about him at all.

My legs started to hurt with all the pacing I was doing. I was restless. Rick and Ethan were there with me, so was the other team's captain with two teammates.

"You're gonna make a hole in the floor with all your pacing." Ethan said. "You're making me nauseous, Enid, stop." And I stopped only to glare at him.

I could not take this anymore. My patience was wearing thin. I knew Aiden was stubborn, he won't say sorry unless he knew it was absolutely his fault. With every tick on the clock, my nerves were screaming at me. So, I did what I had to.

I opened the door only to find all of them chuckling softly, but stopped as soon as they realized someone had opened the door. Although, Aiden looked shocked just like I felt in that situation.

"Enid!" I heard a hissed voice warned me from behind, but before I could duck out, the principal spoke up.

"Ah! Mr. Grey, there you are. Come on in. I was about to call you." He said and I entered the room before closing the door behind me.

"What's going on?" I asked looking one person to another.

"Well, there's nothing to worry, is there, Aiden?" The St. Peter's coach asked. He laughed uncertainly in response.

"Mr. Blake Grey thought it was a good way to teach a lesson. So, he has arranged this meeting for your benefit." Princi said and I only stared at Blake Grey incredulously.

Dad was right. He was a complicated person. I could hear Aiden gritting his teeth beside me.

"I hope it has taught him a lesson." He looked directly into Aiden's with his cold eyes. "No matter what life throws at you, you've to stay put, isn't it?" Blake turned his cold eyes to coach and then he stood up. "Have a good day, everyone, Enid." He said in a dismissive way and soothed the front of his expensive looking jacket and left, out of the room, leaving a tense atmosphere behind his departure.

"Isn't he something?" St. Peter's coach sighed out and so did the boy who tripped me.

"What can I say?" Princi gulped water from the glass and spoke again. "You guys are excused." Aiden, that boy and I scrambled out of the room.

"What was he doing here?" Ethan asked. I was sure he also forgot his name.

"Blake. Apparently he wanted to teach Aiden a lesson. So he was the one who had arranged this meeting." Ethan looked at me incredulously and I just shrugged.

"Hey." That was the boy who had tripped me. As he took a step forward, Aiden came inbetween us. "I just wanted to talk to him, man."

"Aiden." I put a hand on his shoulder to tell him that it was okay. Aiden stepped aside.

"Look, these things happen on the field. Truce?" He held his hand for me to shake and I took it without a second thought.

"Truce." I said as the door opened and everybody came out.

"Next time, watch out." Their captain warned jokingly before they all walked out of the school.

"Crap. That was nerve wrecking." Ethan said as we made our way out of the school, towards the parking lot.

"Well, see you all tomorrow at school." Rick said as he got into his car and drove away. So did Ethan just after Rick, leaving only the two of us with a handful of students, at the far corner of the parking lot, who liked to smoke and get high at the end of the school or at the beginning or even during the school. Anyways.

"Wanna come to my house so we can finish the bio assignment?" I asked, hoping against hope.

Aiden looked at me sadly and all of my hopes vaporized. "I can't. I needed to be there for Dri today. She's to have some scans today or something."

I wanted to ask where her parents were, they surely could stay with her, but that sounded desperate, even in my own head, so I just smiled and told him to go. I could catch him later.

This 'later' word turned out to be very dangerous for me. This 'later' word never came.

Those two weeks had been very lonely and painful for me. Aiden seemed very busy and never had time for any of us. His football practices were missed. Coach let him, thinking that Dri needed him and that was more important than his football... or even me.

It was two weeks later, on Monday, Dri came back to school. The whole school was decorated. I did not understand how the doctors managed to convince her that she was an eleventh grader, but she was back at the school with the help of Amy, Sally, Sam and the whole cheer team. She seemed to survive the whole day.

I was happy for her. She was a little too... gluey to Aiden. But, I could survive seeing how uncomfortable Aiden looked. Without even wanting, it gave me a little relief to my constant aching heart.

She was behaving the same, she was a year ago, but why my stupid mind was comparing her every move with her a-year-ago-self was beyond me. I was going nuts. If I did not stop thinking about it soon, I would definitely go crazy.

I shook my head as I walked out of the locker room after my practice and through the hallway towards the parking lot. I was tired as hell. I just wanted a cool shower in my bathroom and then just to fall asleep.

I stopped in my tracks when I heard a voice echoing in the almost empty hallway. "Aiden!"

I turned around to face Sam. "Hey, Sam." I smiled at her.

"We need to talk." She said very seriously.

"That sounded like you're breaking up with me." I said jokingly, but that did not have the reaction that I wanted.

"I'm serious, Enid. It's about Dri." I instantly sobered up. "There's something wrong with her."

I nodded. "Okay, but not here. Let Will know you're going to my house with me."

She nodded and texted him before we headed for my house.
