It was Jesus who said the place was clear. At least the last time he came here it was clear, and that was months ago. Now the two men, running for their lives from the dead stop. They're panting and trying so hard to catch their breaths.

"Don't. Worry. Firecrackers should be going off soon." Jesus pants.

As if on cue loud popping, almost sounding like gunshots, go off. Any walkers nearby would be distracted and going towards the sound, making Daryl and Jesus in the clear.

"C'mon, let's go." Daryl mumbles while starting to walk further away from the grocery store that was ultimately a death trap.

Jesus jogs to catch up with the greasy haired redneck. He can tell that there's something Daryl wants to say, and he know that it won't be good either.

"So, what's on your mind?" Jesus questions without any hesitation.

Daryl stops in his tracks tilting his head back a bit, then turning around to face the long haired bearded man. "Y'know you're gonna get us killed one damn day."

Trying to ease the tension Jesus lightly laughs, "C'mon we both know i'm not that reckless."

"This ain't a joke anymore man. All these places you say are clear or has enough walkers to handle are really setting us up for death. It's bullshit. I get that eventually we just gotta run, but every five seconds is a bit much. Maybe you should scout the place out the day before we do these stupid runs." Daryl's voice ranged from loud to soft to loud again.

"Look, I know I'm not perfect Daryl, but I'm really trying here. I don't have the time to scout anymore. Not with everything that's going on and the fact that we have to watch our asses every second of everyday. It's bullshit, I know, but at least give me a little credit. I'm the one going out and looking for these places, and I don't see anyone else stepping up to do so." Jesus takes a breath. "If you don't want to come on these runs anymore because you thinks it's bullshit then just don't, I honestly don't give a shit anymore, and don't waste my time or yours."

Daryl stares at Jesus for a couple of seconds before turning around again. He mumbles something about getting back home and continues to walk away with Jesus straggling close behind. The two don't talk about the subject again, but the both go on a run together only a few days later.
