I love you

The first one to say 'I love you' is definitely Jesus.

They are both laying in bed. Jesus is reading a book, and Daryl has his eyes closed. Jesus thinks he's sleeping. Jesus closes the book and watches his boyfriend peacefully sleep.

His dark brown hair isn't covering his eyes like it always is. His breathing is steady, and Jesus just can't help but smile down at the older man.

"I love you so much." He whispers thinking that the sleeping man didn't hear it, but he did.

It scares daryl. He isn't use to people feeling that way about him. He's also scared because he loves the man laying beside him also.

Weeks, maybe months, pass and Daryl doesn't tell his boyfriend that he heard him say those three words. And Jesus hasn't said those words since that night.

That's until, one afternoon, they are laying in bed. Jesus once again reading a book, and daryl has his eyes closed making his boyfriend think he's sleeping. It's quiet in the room, that's until Daryl speaks up.

"I love you too, Paul."

That's the first time Daryl call Jesus by his first name. It's also the first time Daryl has ever said those three words to someone.
