"Come over."

It is currently late noon and I am comfortable sitting about my living room with Hoseok on the other side. The show was not interesting. I let my roommate pick it out which wasn't the best choice considering he'd been very into documentaries of sciences related topic. They aren't even fun topics like mutations, it's about the human brain. At the moment the man is transitioning into talking about the brain's activity right at death, something I most definitely don't want to know about so I announce my departure.

"Want me to drive you?"

"No. I've been to Jooheon's before, plus I could use the air."

My friend lives only fifteen minutes away so it was not one bit of a stretch. He shares his apartment with a single roommate as well, his friend. The man doesn't spend much time there due to his job so when I get there I expect to be greeted by a single being.

"I've got news!"

He takes my hand and rushes me in. There's soft music bouncing off the wall and the smell of fresh food in the air. On the sofa he sets me down and runs out the room.

"It better be good!" I scream as I look about the crowded apartment. It is no comparison to mine but still comfortable in a way.

"Oh it is! Just you wait!"

I sigh and let myself sink into the cushions of the couch. Shuffling and banging is heard from the room he disappeared into. He grunts then comes crawling out of the room with a single item in his hand.

"Got it!"

I shake my hand at his pathetic attempt to stand back up coolly.

"What's that?"

With his free hand he pushed away the papers on the coffee table in front of me. Jooheon crosses his legs on the floor and slams down a brown book.

"Gold."

"No it's a book."

"Obviously dumb dumb." He opens it to an empty page. "Read what it says."

I climb down to sit on the floor. I turn the book so that the words are no longer upside down. In what appears to be crappy handwriting, Jooheon's, is a date with a single sentence.

"This was about eight years go."

He ignores the obvious, his finger lands to the words beneath.

Lee Jooheon, begin of trials.

"Did you see the front of it?"

My hand creases the words before traveling to the edge of the book and turning it over completely. Scripted into the leather of the cover in bold black coloring are two words.

BOOK ONE

"I checked the back and look," Jooheon turns the book to it's back and opens it to the very last page. The page was blank expect for only few words right in the middle of it.

Starting trials completed. Second trials in second book.

Unable to understand what this has to do with me, Jooheon asks me to start of it. The first two pages are descriptions of Jooheon, written by himself. He was a pharmacist who did research on the side for a company. The type of research was mainly disclosed but it appeared to be of cells.
