Darkness fell upon the sky just above me as I exited the bar in which I have spent such an unexpected wonderful time in. The colors above me are a lovely blue mixed with purple, warning all of us that the moon would soon be making it's appearance.
"You sure you don't need help Yoongi?"
I shake my head. I actually wish I hadn't done that for now the floor spins just the slightest. One drink turned into many more and I now I'm receiving the feedback. I assure my new friend that where I must go is close and I don't need anymore help from her today, what she's done for me is more than enough. Jennie gives me a hug goodbye, wishes me the best then takes off in the opposite direction.
The air from outside has chilled since I last felt it. I want nothing more than to wrap myself up in a bed with a spooky movie playing on the television while I pretend to watch it. With those intentions in mind I head back to the hotel room. I make it to my floor, then my door and instant realization hits me that what I want is not what I'm going to get.
"Yoongi!"
Jooheon runs from the bed to engulf me in a hug but it doesn't last more than one sniff. He pushes me always with a face of pure disgust. Mark from behind him says nothing, just looks at us curiously while Jooheon dramatically waves with his hand at the air. Do I really smell that bad?
"God! You smell gross!"
Guess I do.
I get past him and to the bed just beside the one my calmer friend sits at. They ask me where I've been and why did Benny just drive off with me. I tell them the answer to only one of their questions, the other I have yet to make up an excuse to. As they insist I repeat the conversation with the taxi driver I haul my bag into the bathroom to take a bath. The water is warm and the bubble welcome me as I plunge my naked body inside. For once in that day, I felt at bliss.
My friends knock at my door, Jooheon mainly. They demand an explanation so I have no choice but to continue ignoring them because really, I don't feel like giving one. Eventually they stop and I am left with the faint sound of the television from outside and the haunting voices that are my thoughts.
I think about Benny, all the things he said to me. He called me a name very few have, we use to be friends apparently, and I was somewhat open to him in our conversations. What weirdest of all in his story is me, or who I use to be at least. Why wouldn't I tell him my real name and why did it sound like I didn't want to be spotted at all? Now I really wish Benny would have forgotten his place and asked just why I hid when going to see Jimin, it would have saved so much confusion.
Jennie is next to bump my mind. The beautiful woman with long brown hair that makes me want to curl up in it is something special. I connected with her instantly, it was like I was speaking to an old friend when I spoke with her. Today overall has been a weird day but I have a feeling it won't beat the ones to come.
I come out of the tub seeing I about to fall asleep in it. I almost died before, I don't plan on doing so now. When I walk out in my bed clothes I find the two other males dining on what appears to be food from the hotel itself.
"Do you know expensive that is?" I ask as I steal a fry from Mark's plate.
He shrugs. "Don't care, you're paying for it."
"Excuse me? I never agreed to such thing."
The two go on to argue that in financial situation I am at best and so I should bite a bullet and pay up because according to them, "they're poorer". I hate them sometimes.
"So you going to tell us why the old man drove away with you now or are you still going to ignore us?"
I sigh and give in but with a few lies. I tell them that Benny had recognized me from before in the past and he was curious to know what had happened to me. There was nothing much to say so they let me fall right into slumber that lasted until before nine in the morning. I wake up to panic and chaos.
"Hurry the hell up!"
Jooheon was running around with no pants on while Mark was struggling to close his book bag. When they finally realize I'm awake, they start yelling at me. Apparently we are to be out of the room before nine or else we'll be charged for another night. When I lay back down and don't move, they completely loose it. Mark is pulling on sheet while Jooheon on my hair, both screaming for me to get up. I guess I forgot to tell them last night.
"Guy's I'm not going back today!"
They stop.
"What?"
I tell them I plan to stay one more day to walk around the city, hoping to trigger some memories which wasn't completely a lie. I need to go see Jimin and unfortunately that could only be done with them gone. After what seemed like an eternity of explanations, Jooheon puts pants on and Mark manages to close his bag. I bid them farewell and send them with a message to deliver.
"Tell Hoseok that I'll be home tomorrow, or maybe tonight and that I'll explain when I get back."
Jooheon whines. "Why can't you just call him."
"He's tried." Says Mark."But he won't answer you right?"
It was true. I had tried to call and text him non of those things seemed to work. I finally close the door on them and prepare for me day. Today I will be getting the answers I so desperately desire and maybe just a little bit more.
