Annie's POV
All the noise around us is silent. It's just me and Hayden.
Kissing.
He pulls away and my jaw drops. I'm in shock.
He grabs my hand and we run off stage.
"I love you Annie Leblanc. I don't care if you don't like me back, but I can't hide my feelings anymore." He admits. Danielle Cohn sings in the background.
"Hayden.. I love you too. I've been feeling the spark between us this whole trip." I say, grinning at his face.
Our parents come running up beside us.
"Hayden, what was that?" Hayden's parents scowl.
"Annie, are you okay?" Mom asks, pulling me away from Hayden.
"Mom, I'm fine. Amazing, actually." I say, pulling away and holding Hayden's hand. Her eyes widen.
"You guys planned this together?" Hayden's mom asks.
"No... I didn't even know I was going to do it. Me and Annie have something. We both feel it." Hayden says, looking at me with his chestnut brown eyes.
"Well, we support you and all... But I hope you guys know what you're getting into. There's going to be a lot of hate and drama." Dad informs us.
"I know, dad. But it'll be worth it." I reply, grinning at my cheesy words.
Our parents all smile and leave us be.
I kiss him again. I've been waiting three days to let my feelings flow.
Jayden starts clapping as she walks over to us.
"That was some great content guys. The fans loved it." She says, laughing a little.
"Thanks Jayden." Hayden says awkwardly, still looking at me.
"Seriously, they all thought that was real. Especially from our reactions. Nice job." She chuckles.
"Jayden... That wasn't fake. I kissed Annie because I love her." Hayden says, now looking at her.
"Oh.." She says, slight disappointment in her face. I raise an eyebrow as she walks away.
"Don't pay attention to her." Hayden says, cupping my face. I smile uncontrollably.
After the concert, Hayden and I go on stage for a Q&A with Rock Your Hair. I blush, hoping they don't ask any awkward questions.
We walk on stage and the crowd cheers. Hayden and I sit down in the seats that have pulled to the veneer of the stage.
"Hey Annie, Hayden. You had a pretty great performance there. I think the crowd agrees." Brooke says, and the crowd screams.
"So, first question. Annie, what inspired your decision to sing Unsteady with Hayden?" She says, handing me the microphone.
"Well, the song describes how I felt when my brother Caleb passed away. I felt alone and sad, like I wasn't in control. My parents felt the same way, so they helped me the best they could, but they had their own troubles. Hayden was one of the people that helped me get back on my feet, and he encouraged me every day not to let go." I say, looking at him with loving eyes. The crowd awes.
"Isn't that adorable. Speaking of it, Hayden, can you explain your ending of the song?" She asks, winking. Hayden tenses up.
"Well... The song was really emotional. I got a bit excited and couldn't help myself." He admits, blushing.
"In fact, Annie, I want to ask you a question myself. Will you be my girlfriend?" He says, putting his hand over mine.
The fans go wild.Hayden's POV:
"Hayden, of course." Annie says, grinning. The crowd is screaming with happiness. Brooke smiles in shock.
"Well, it's been a crazy night for you two. Thanks for answering our questions!" She says, hugging us both as we walk off stage.
I take a deep breath as we reach the curtains. It feels like a heavy weight has been lifted off my chest.
Now that our Q&A is over, we can go back to the apartment building and get some rest.
When we get to our uber, our parents go over what we have to be careful with because of our relationship.
"You guys are going to get some hate, since some people still think Hayden belongs with Kenzie." My dad says, starting the conversation. I roll my eyes. I dated Kenzie for a week or two, and that was years ago. Fans still can't get over that I've moved on.
"But most of the fans love you guys together. Which means they'll probably go to farther lengths to meet you together. You guys have to be careful." Annie's dad points out.
"But overall, we're so happy for you guys." Mom says, putting her hand on her daughters shoulder. Hayley giggles.
Once were in the building, everyone goes to me and Dads apartment to watch some movies, since they aren't as tired as us. Annie and I stare out at the stars from the balcony before we go to sleep.
"I'm glad you made a move. I probably would have never done anything because I'm too shy." Annie says, putting her head on my shoulder.
"I couldn't hold back. Annie, I've loved you for years. But I always had to hide my feelings because of the fans." I say, looking down into her deep brown eyes. She wraps her hands around my neck and stands on her toes.
"I love you already, Hayden Summerall." She says, kissing me softly. My body loosens up, and I feel safe. Loved. Needed.
When she pulls away and all we can do is smile. I've never been happier in my whole life.
We go inside to get some rest. She slips under the covers of her bed, and I kiss her forehead.
"See you tomorrow. I whisper, looking at her face in the dark. I see her glowing white grin as i leave the room.
I lay on the couch in the living room and stare at the ceiling, smiling like an idiot.
I'm the happiest person alive.
