Annie's POV:
Why didn't he talk?
Why did he come to my door?
Why did he do this?
Why does it seem like he didn't want to?
I have so many questions. I miss him. I want him. I need him.
I unsuccessfully try to call him, which doesn't work because he didn't answer.
"Hayden, please." I whisper to myself. After several more calls and no luck, I get fed up. I jump up from the couch and head to his door, just like he did to me. Except I'm going to talk. I'm going to cry, and scream, and cry, and cry, and cry. Did I mention I'm probably going to cry?
I don't even knock, and just open the unlocked door. He's sitting at the table, staring blankly ahead of him. It's only when I slam the door behind me that he looks over.
"I'm not letting you leave my like this. Jayden came back. She's fine now. We talked. Please Hayden, just come back to me. I love you. I miss you. I honestly just can't without you." I cry. He walks over to me, and is now so close that I can hear his breaths. I could kiss him.
"Hayden Summerall, I love you. And you love me. So why don't we just-"
He quiets me by pressing his lips against mine.
I'm shocked at first, but instantly kiss him back. He carries me to the countertop, where he sets me down before pulling away.
"I'm sorry." He says, wiping away my tear. I answer his apology by crashing into him once again.
He grips onto my waist as I cup his face while we make out. We're so close together, I can feel his breaths.
He lifts me off the countertop, and I giggle as he takes us to his room. One thing leads to another, and I'm pretty sure you know what happened. The Next Morning...
When I wake up, I almost forget that Hayden had broken up with me yesterday. He's sleeping soundly next to me, his hand still resting at my waist. Just minutes after me, he wakes up.
"Good morning." He grins. I prop my head up on my hand, staring unit his dark brown eyes.
"What." He chuckles.
"What are we now?" I ask him nervously. It's all I could think about as soon as I woke up.
"I would be honoured if you would take me back as your boyfriend." He chuckles. My nervous expression instability switches to a grin.
"Annie, I have to tell you something." He says, taking his hand off my waist.
"What is it?" I ask, sitting up.
"I didn't breaks up with you yesterday because I wanted to." He admits. I nod, since I had already expected so.
"I was blackmailed."
I gasp shock. So he was forced to break up with me?
"There a secret. A bad secret. And if I didn't break up with you, they were going to let it out. If people find out, your family would get a lot of hate and you would be upset and-"
"What secret?" I interrupt. I don't know of a bad secret that my family has.
"Annie... They say our parents are cheating. That my dad is cheating on my mom with yours." He admits.
"W-what? That can't be true." I shake my head.
"I thought that too. But they said they had pictures, and I just couldn't risk ruining their reputation and your family. We have to talk to them." He says as I sit up more, covering myself with a blanket.
"I know. I just panicked and didn't know what to do." He admits. I reach down to grab my clothes. As I do, the doorknob on Hayden's door starts turning. I rush back into the bed, hiding myself under the blankets.
"We're home little brother!" His older brothers shout.
"I was kind of asleep." Hayden says, tossing his other pillow to cover the shape of my body under the blankets.
"Come on! Big day!" Hunter chuckles.
"Give me fifteen minutes." Hayden pleads.
"Ten." Jimmy says, laughing as they all file out of the room.
I chuckle nervously as I come out of hiding. Hayden throws my clothes at me jokingly as he gets up and throws a shirt on.
"Meet me at your apartment. I'll distract them." He laughs, shaking his head.
As soon as the door shuts, I rush to get dressed and sneak out. I hear him take his brothers upstairs, and take it as my chance. I close the door as quietly as possible, running away as soon as I hear the click.
Once I'm back at my place, I notice that Mom still isn't home. I text her anxiously, praying she's just at a meeting. She calls me, rather than texting.
"Hey mom! Where are you?" I ask, my acting skills coming into use.
"Just at some more meetings sweetie. I stayed with Nicole last night, I was so tired." She chuckles.
"Oh, okay. See you tonight?" I ask, and she agrees. I hang up, and text Brooke instantly.
Annie - Did my mom stay at ur place last night?
She replies in seconds.
Brooke - Yeah, why? Thought she told you lol
Annie - Just wondering. See you on set tomorrow!
I set my phone on the countertop, sighing in relief.
While I wait for Hayden, I decide to quickly shower and get ready for the day. I leave my ombré hair in its natural waves, and decide on wearing floral shorts with a black halter top. I only apply light makeup, as usual.
Hayden is at the door within 15 minutes, and greets my with a kiss.
"Sorry. Missed having that for the few hours I didn't have any." He jokes, and I let him give me another quick kiss.
"You look cute." He reminds me, entering the apartment.
"Thanks handsome." I tease, grinning at my cheesy sentence.
"Glad to have you back." He says, resting his forehead against mine. I can smell his mint breathe and fresh cologne.
"You too."
