{Zach's POV}
As Henley and I looked up at the stars I thought about the words she had spoken, "Discover the undiscovered." Was that her way of telling me to be more adventurous? She knew me like the back of her hand, which was astonishing considering the time span of which we knew one another.
My thoughts were interrupted when she stoood up quickly and shook the sand off herself, "Let's go."
"Alright everyone is probably waiting anyway." I stood up myself and rubbed off the sand
She shook her head from side to side, "No not home, we've gotta go deeper in the cave." She pushes me forward.
I decided not to put up a fight knowing that if I didn't go with her, she'd go alone. I looked back at her, a small closed mouth smile showed thankfulness and her bright aqua eyes gleamed with eagerness, while mine felt to be showing the feeling of admire, but not for the cave, for her.
She held my hand tightly as she led me further into the cave, it seemed that maybe we shared the same feeling, but hers was for the cave, for the exploring, not for me as mine was for her, but that was ok, seeing the passion she held for adventure made me fall even more into the hole that was Henley Blank.
We reached the end of the cave and she sat down, I followed, sitting beside her as my back leaned against the cool surface of the cave. I threw my arm around her small shoulders and she instantly leaned against me.
"Tell me about yourself." Henley said quietly trying not to disturb the peace we had devolved.
I thought, "What do you wanna know Hen?"
She huffed out a small laugh, "Everything."
So I did what she had asked, I told her everything about myself, "My full names Zachary Dean Herron, I have a little sister named Reese, a younger brother names Ryan, I love music, anything about it really, I like singing, I can play the guitar." I went on and on about my whole life.
Then when I asked her about her life she nodded telling me about herself, "My names Henley Lough Blank, I have an older sister named Quinn, I trust her with everything.I like reading a lot, I love traveling, and luckily I can do that a lot." She went on and on much like I did until she ran out of things to tell.
We sat in a comfortable silence, that's until Henley heard the drizzle of rain fall from the sky and was up and ready to leave the cave in a matter of seconds.
"C'mon Zach." She said quickly as she ran towards the end of the cave, me trailing behind her.
She ran out and into the rain that gradually got heavier by the second and the thunder cracked loud, but that didn't stop her.
I watched her from inside the cave when I heard her yell to me, "C'mere!"
I put my head down as I stepped out from the safety from the cave, she immediately grabbed both my hands with hers and started jumping around.
We danced together in the storm, her hands in mine as I span her around effortlessly and picked her up in my arms to whip around until the rain eventually stopped and all that was left was the gray clouds and the wet sand.
My phone started ringing within minutes after the storm had ended along with our dancing, grasping my phone and sliding over it turned out to be Daniel.
"Hey bro is like 2 in the morning, where are you at?"
I gaped, "It's 2?"
I heard a chuckle from the other end of the line, "Yeah Oakley thought you guys were lost."
I purses my lips, "Yeah I'll see you soon, we'll start heading back now."
And that's when the date with the beautiful girl ended and we got in the car for the ride back.
I had learned a lot about Hen that night, I also learned a lot from her that night too.
Then after the long car ride that didn't seem so long with her by my side, she had leaned over and kissed my slowly, I kissed back with no hesitation. She pulled back, her face still close to mine she whispered a few words that to anyone else would be nothing but a compliment but to me it meant so much more.
"I love your eyes Zach Herron."
