Chapter 14: My Best Hit Men
I slammed the paper on his desk.
He looked at me very casually.
Calm, cool, and collected, as if he was waiting for me to do that exact thing.
I was fuming.
His blue eyes met with a casual smirk were driving me crazy.
I said nothing to him. I just left the paper crumpled up on his desk and left the classroom.
When I got to the student lounge Crate was already waiting for me.
"Its only because I knew you would be here." She said and patted the seat next to her.
"I have news, best friend, also don't ever leave me again." I pushed my head into her lap.
She laughed and patted my head.
"I'm sorry Amber next time there is a wedding I must attend you will come with me." She laughed.
"Now what's the news."
"Okay, I told you about how Sam was playing with my feelings and all that jazz. Well I forgave her because she apologized and I told Abe that I love her. So he goes she doesn't love you and I'm just like skirt bye. So Sam and I had sex, and then I had a dream-"
"Whoa! Back up!" Crate said smiling wide.
"What?" I asked laughing. I knew exactly what she was talking about.
"You know exactly what I am talking about Amber!!" She tickled me and we laughed.
"Okay! Okay! Yes I had a small moment of intimacy with Sam no big deal." I shrugged smiling.
"No big, Amber you had sex with someone. You had sex with another girl!" Crate was losing her marbles.
"So are you and Sam official?"
"She didn't officially ask me anything and I didn't ask so no." I smiled.
I don't think Crate is getting it. I don't really care about being Sam's forever. Just being with her is enough for me.
"How did it happen?" She questioned.
"I asked her if she loves me and she kissed me and told me she does and one thing lead to another and here we are now." I said.
"Wow, look at you." She poked me.
"Moving on. I had a dream in German and every time Abe would come, he would take someone I care about-"
"Me too?"
"Yes you too." I laughed and rolled my eyes.
"In the dream I asked him what he wanted and he said he gets what he wants when he wants it."
Crate sat back and ran a hand through her blonde hair, "The note."
"The note, which I then took to his current class and slammed it in his face."
"What did he say?"
"Nothing, because he knew I was going to do that." I looked at her.
"He's insane. Listen, the next time he does something like this don't give him the reaction he wants." Crate said.
I nodded. The bell rang. I just skipped gym, Sam is going to be wondering about that.
I didn't know it at the time but that would be my last conversation with Crate for awhile.

When I got home Sam asked me why I wasn't in gym.
Told you so.
"Sorry, I just wanted to catch up a little with Crate." I said.
No way was I about to tell Samantha George about the note Abe left me. Why so she can find his address and set his bed on fire with him lying in it?
I don't like Abe, but I don't like him that much to send one of my best hit men after him.
Sam nodded, "Alright well I'm gonna head home and get clean clothes, I'll be back my darling." She kissed me and left my room.
I sat for a second and then stood up abruptly, surprising myself.
"Sam!"
I ran out the room and down the hall. When I got the stairs I saw Sam tying her shoes.
"Sam!" She looked up, I ran down the staircase and threw myself into her arms.
She picked me up and embraced me and kissed my face.
"Amber."
"Sam, I love you."
She chuckled, "I know baby girl, I know."
That would be my last conversation with Sam.***
