Chapter 15: Gotta Keep Him Guessing
I woke up the next morning and the sun filled the room.
I blinked to adjust my eyes to the light.
I then realized I never heard my alarm go off.
Shit. I over slept, what time is it?
I dug my face deeper into my pillow and groaned.
Expect, my "pillow" was hard and fleshy, almost human like.
I tried to sit up but a strong arm held me down.
Unless Sam turned into the hulk over night, I don't know why she's suddenly so strong.
The person stirred and spoke.
"I didn't think you were going to be up so early." The deep, husky, voice said.
My eyes popped open and my breathing picked up.
I forced my way up again and this time I was free.
I stumbled backwards to get a better look.
I saw a golden body with toned arms connected to broad shoulders, a thick neck and short blond hair with blue eyes.
I think my heart just stopped.
I rolled off the bed, I attempted to run but something pulled at my ankle and I fell hard, on my face.
He got off the bed and walked over to me.
He laughed.
I looked at my ankle, a silver cuff dangled around it connected to a long chain that attached its self to the bed.
I looked at him.
"What the hell is going on, Abraham." I asked in more of a sentence than a question.
He laughed and said, "Please, call me Abe." He stood and went to the dresser.
The lunatic kidnapped me! I would expect him to take Sam but me?! Well, now that I think about it, he wouldn't take Sam because he has no use for her. Its me he wants because its me he can't have.
Abe tossed a key to me.
"Unlock yourself and get dressed, breakfast is waiting." He smiled and walked to the door and left the room.
I grabbed the key, unlocked my ankle and stood. Immediately I started looking for away out.
On the other side of the door he would probably be waiting so I can't try and sneak out there.
I went to the dresser and opened a drawer.
I gotta make some noise, if he is waiting and doesn't hear anything, he'll know I'm plotting.
I closed the drawer and opened another one.
I looked at the window, bars.
And its way to far a drop, even if there weren't bars on the window and I tried jumping from this height, I might break my leg.
I opened another drawer and finally found some female clothes.
I'm not going to be like one of those girls in the movies who pick the dumbest and most insufficient thing to wear in an action movie.
Like a fucking dress.
I took a plain white tee shirt and paired it with some jeans.
I went to the closet and slipped on a leather jacket and a pair of vans.
It took awhile to find my size.
I can't escape from up here, I'll have to take my chances downstairs.
Before I left the room, I rummaged around looking for anything I could hide in my pockets or my bra.
I opened a small drawer next to the bed and found a gun.
My heart jumped a little when I saw it.
I picked it up.
It was small and light, I examined it as I have never seen a gun in real life never the less held one.
I pray I won't have to use this.
How do I check to see if it has any bullets?
I pulled something at the top of the gun and the magazine opened, the bullets fell out on the bed.
It was loaded.
I picked them up, I took three bullets and put the them in my pocket.
I reloaded the gun and clicked it closed.
Nifty. Next question, how do I know I won't end up shooting myself?
What I meant by that is, is this thing's safety on?
I looked around the gun and saw a switch that flipped from S to A.
I'm going to quickly assume that S is safety and A is automatic.
I switched it from A to S and tucked it in the back of my jeans and put my jacket over it.
I went to the door and opened it carefully.
He wasn't there.
From this room the hallway panned either left of right.
This is a typical house, I know that the stairs are to the right and you'll end up by the front door and if you go left you'll hit the kitchen, if you go right you'll reach the living room.
From here if I go left I'll end up in more bed rooms which are still too high up for me to jump out any windows which most likely have bars.
I turn right and head down the stairs.
When I get to the dinning room I see Abe sitting at the table scrolling through Instagram.
I image myself putting the gun to the back of his head and telling him to let me go.
But then I remember Crate, don't give him the reaction he wants.
I walk around him and sit down in front of him.
He smiles at me, "you look cute."
I don't answer him.
Food is placed in front of us from people that I don't look at. I hold eye contact with Abe.
One wrong move could be my last.
"Thank you for letting me use the room." I say to him.
We could have ate in silence, but judging by the current look on his face he didn't expect me to speak.
And that's exactly what I want.
I want to keep catching him off guard so I can get the hell out of here.
"Anytime my precious. The house is yours. Please eat." He motions to my plate and I look at it.
Pancakes, bacon, eggs, and fruit.
"I can't go outside." I say not looking at him.
"You can." He says with a full mouth.
"When you come to your senses and learn to love me." I can tell he is smiling.
I take a strip of bacon and look at him.
I put it between my teeth and rip of a piece.
I point the bacon at him, "I will get out of here."
"I definitely expect you to try. Also, that whole thing you're doing with the bacon is really turning me on." He leans forward.
"Good."
Now normally I would have said "fuck off." But as you know, I gotta keep him guessing.***
