Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock!

The clock clocked as there was only 1 minute left until break time! But then my mindset off to what Annie said. Am I really that fat? Or am I even fat? Mom and dad never said so, even Toby.

"Don't let her get to you," lily said.
"I know lily I just don't want to talk about it," I said sadly. She didn't fight back understanding me. I was in the middle of my thoughts when someone shook me.

"Lil? Lilac are you ok?" I turned to look at Nate, his face was filled with concern. His baby blue eyes became dull, and he had a frown. I shook my head and noticed we were the only ones left here.

"I'm fine Nate... Let's go," he nodded, we stood up and walked to the cafeteria. My stomach growled at the smell of food. I blushed when Nate chuckled hearing My stomach rumble. Well, that was embarrassing.

"Hungry?" he asked with amusement glinting in his eyes.

"Yep." I nodded smiling.

We laughed as we entered the cafeteria. The students were all laughing and chatting with their groups. The girls were checking out and whispering how hot Nate is. Lily was annoyed by them, which is irritating that she's acting that Nate was hers. The girls would flick their hair and batter their eyelashes when we passed their table. I rolled my eyes at them.

I saw Katie with the boys in our usual seat. Furthermore, I smiled, and we went to them, but we surely had to pass the jocks table, Alex the jock of our school. He likes pissing me off. He flirts and makes moves on me, which is annoying.

He saw me, he smirked and stood up getting in our way. Not only that, but he went to me and grabbed me by the waist pulling me closer to him while his other hand twirled a strand of my hair. Alex had brown hair and gold eyes, he was also well-built. Son of our third in command or delta.

"Hey, babe," he whispered, I could feel all eyes on us. I tried to push him, but he only pulled me closer. I could see his friends smirking.

"Let me go Alex," I sneered lowly. He only smiled teasingly and blew on my earlobe lightly.

"Uh-Uh babe, we don't want them to hear you growl, don't we? We don't want to give them curiosity," he  taunted. I bit my tongue to stop myself from growling. I saw Toby with a frown on his face standing up, also Jackson. They were about to move when Nate spoke up.

"Dude, I don't think she's comfortable with you," Nate said, a rough tone rolling off his lips. Nate pulled me away from Alex earning a glare from Alex. I could see Nate's jaw clenching while holding me closer to him. Glad Annie's not here to cause trouble too.

"And who the heck do you think you are?" Alex hissed, his eyes hard on Nate. His friends stood by his side. Everyone's stares were on us.

"Bro, he's a new kid." One of Alex's friends whispered at Alex. Darryl, I think.

"You shouldn't interfere, newbie. You don't know who you're dealing with," Alex threatens as he takes a step closer. Nate also took a step closer but his hand was in front of me in a protective mode. Making lily wag her tail. Nate was definitely bigger than Alex, as I mean much taller. Alex stood in 6'.

"I'm not interfering bro, I was clearly stating a fact. She looked disgusted by you touching her like that," Nate said mockingly. Alex clenched his fist, before he could make a move Toby stopped them two.

"Woah, Woah! Go settle down boys, my sister is not just  some thing... Give respect," Toby glared at Alex. Alex couldn't do anything but glare at Nate. They went away with the 'you're dead look'. I grabbed Nate's hand and his attention turned to me.

"Why'd ya do that?" I asked, his face showed anger. When he saw my face his features became soft and his lips on a thin line.

"Why?it didn't look right for me," he scowled.

"Hot", Lily purred. What an ass.
"Watch it!," she growled.

"But -" I was cut off by an irritated Toby.

"Enough with the chit-chat! I'm hungry, let's go and eat," he was said pouting. I rolled my eyes at Toby as Nate chuckled giving me butterflies in my stomach.
