INFIRMITY

1001 HOURS

LOCATION- PLUTO, GAYLORD ACADEMY, SECTIONI I

-

The new part of the section was unfamiliar, and I hadn't gotten the chance to look at the floor plans. Without Jaz's constant reasoning to being perfect and memorizing everything, I wandered the halls. There was something reassuring about the corridors. The faded neutral décor was something that remained constant in my life.

My head started to throb because of fighting for so long. My vision blurred slightly, and I knew I was in for a headache. I thought of the layout I did remembering. I looked to each door and sign, hoping I'd accidently reach there.

"Sapphire West, the lost princess of Neptune," A voice said teasingly from behind. I turned around. Leaning against the wall, a guy stood, his eyes half closed with an amused grin. I rolled my eyes, another Royal or ministers' son who just happened to know my identity.

"What do you want," I asked, crossing my arms across my chest. He opened his eyes, the deep green swirled with faint surprise. I ignored it.

"And who are you," I asked, though I knew exactly who he was.

"Eli Jaylen, universal troublemaker," he said and bowed dramatically. I nodded. If I weren't so tired, I would have flirted around a bit but now, my gaze swept past him and to the next door.

"Lost?" he asked.

"What makes you think I'm lost," I asked.

"Cause, you've been staring at the all classroom doors since you left the main hall and I'm pretty sure you're not ditching first class," he said.

"Stalker," I accused him.

"I'm deeply hurt, your highness, please forgive me," he said in a monotone. I flashed my eyes at him. It did not change his expression.

"Okay, okay, no need to get angry," he said.

"What makes you say that I'm angry," I asked innocently.

"I'm an empath, I know that you're angry," he said. I glared at him, harder. Now wanting to throw something at him empath head.

"Your stupid empaths, why is everybody a freaking empath and there's me, an idiotic telepath, I am done with my life," I gritted at him, half due to pain.

"What's wrong," he asked taking a worried step toward me.

"Leave me alone, stupid prankster," I muttered.

"What is wrong," he repeated. My aura must have flashed something bad, for him to be this concerned.

"Ask yourself you're the empath," I replied. He nodded at me, thinking thoughtfully.

"Where do you want to go."

"I'll find the room myself." I wasn't going to let him help me.

"Where's Mikey," I asked no problem in wasting sometime, next class was 20 minutes away.

"Mikey," he said his smiling reappearing on his face.

"Yeah, you know Mikey, the royal one from some planet," I explained.

"Mikey," he repeated, bursting into laughter, "You call Michael, Mikey, I gotta tell him that." I glared at him as he continuously kept laughing.

"He already knows that I call him that," I said bored. My headache worsened and the objects in front of me blurred. He looked at me in surprise.
