The place I called home wasn't quite different from Earth. There existed politicians who brought their political issues with them. The poor who worked for the wealthy. There existed good and alongside it, bad. Love ruled amongst us, yet it was overrun with hate. Life was a battle against ensuring the right prevailed. So, it wasn't exactly that different from Earth, except in a few major things.

-- I --

Each planet of the galaxy was assigned to a particular element, earth included. Yet only few people on earth could control their element, fire. This was due to generations of elemental unuse. Those few earthlings who could control their element were powerful in stature and in some method controlled the function of Earth.

The elemental Earth was assigned to Mercury and Venus. The elemental Fire to Mars and as explained, earth. Air was assigned to Saturn and Jupiter whilst Water was left to Neptune.

-- II --

Our planets were split into two, divided by people in power. The splitting happened at the very beginning of the creation of our galaxy. We rarely spoke to each other. We lived separated from each other, we knew nothing of the happenings of other side.

-- III --

We were ruled by monarchy. In a very loose definition of the earthling term. We had regions, which were similar to what earthling called a country. Each region had an elected minister. The king and queen of the planet could be removed if at least five ministers decided so. It was a method in which the planet made sure the rule was just and fair.

That was my home, a place I had thought I was well-aquatinted with regardless of the injustice that took infrequently took place. We had never gone to earth; all we had heard were rumours and tales. Only the King and Queen were briefed about the planet. But what I never knew was that earthlings weren't the problem. My people were.
