"Not really," I said to Ty.

"What, you still haven't visited your mum yet," he asked surprised, my eyes fluttered.

"I don't want to tell her about dad's grave," I said. Students from around the hall kept glancing at me and the flirting has just gotten worse and I'm not even mentioning the catcalling. The only reason all of them were not at the hospital yet, getting medication or getting buried was because of Jaz.

"Yo, Western," A guy said raising his chin at me, flashing a smile at me.

"Yo, idiot," I said smiling at him quite genuinely. But then he looked back at me smiling widely and took a step forward to walk towards me and I bared my teeth at him and growled like some wild animal before turning back to Ty. He laughed.

"So, you and Jaz," I asked.

"Me and who," he choked shaking his hand with another dude.

"It's been two weeks, enough time for her to settle, tell her." He shook his head.

"I don't know," Ty said as I glared at another girl who was staring at me.

"Look, she likes you, it's so fucking obvious, just tell her and she'll stop playing around with all those guys," I said.

"I'm not ready, where's the history classroom anyway," he asked trying to change the subject.

"It's supposed to be a third classroom from this corner," I said pointing forward. Jaz was with a guy right now and she'd come a bit late, I was glad that ty and I didn't have the connection right now, so I don't have to tell him.

"Hmm," Ty said seeing the classroom, he opened the door and my eyebrows creased as I spotted Jaz. I slid into a chair next to her.

"Hey, I thought you were with Cameron." She grinned back at me.

"I broke up with him." I opened my mouth to respond when the teacher entered.

"Morning class," she said. "I'm Lady Madeline and I'm your history teacher." I nodded.

"So, students, tell me why we learn history?" she asked and pointed at a girl that had raised her hand.

"To understand what happened in the past," she said.

"That is what history is, but why do we need to understand what happened in the past?" she asked. Students looked at her blankly, I mean seriously why do we even study history. The teacher smiled.

"We learn history because the past causes the present, and so the future. It's as simple as that. Someday you will be shaping the future of our and generation and if you do not know what happened in the past, how are you going to sort out the future."

Suddenly students started to straighten themselves out on their chair, deeply interested in the subject. I got out a notebook and began doodle in it. I didn't know why we bothered with the basics. Everyone knows all of this.

"Okay, let's start, who is Gaylord?" she asked.

"He was the first person in this universe," a boy said when the teacher beckoned him to talk.

"Yes, he was the first person, he had the power to control all the elements. Fire, water, earth and the wind. With these powers, he crafted 7 children. With the element earth, he created a son and a daughter," she said pausing to see everyone's expression then she continued, "His son was named Mercury and his daughter was named Venus. Likewise, with the gift of fire, he created two sons named Earth and Mars. With the gift of wind, he crafted one more son and a daughter, his son was named Jupiter and his daughter was named Saturn. With the last element, water, he crafted Neptune, his oldest son."
