"Alkia, will you please ring the bell when I say to for me?" She nodded quietly and Mr. Kamata stood up. He moved aside then walked out onto the field, passing Kane. I watched him the entire time.
~What am I up against. I don't even know what type of magic he has.~ I stared at him as the barrier went up. I watched as he crossed his arms and stood looking at me.
"You are to use your magic this round." I looked at him slightly confused, then I shook my head.
"No sir."
"Why?" He asked.
"Because I'm not going to. I can beat you hand to hand." He stared at me with this look of aggravation on his face. I guess I upset him saying that.
"So just because you think you can beat me hand to hand, you won't use your magic?" I stood silent for a moment thinking of what he might mean from that, but a minute had passed, and I nodded. He sighed. "Very well. I may regret even allowing you to face me then. If you last thirty seconds, I'll forfeit. If you're on the ground in ten," He grinned. "You show your magic." I look at him the nod.
"Fine." He nodded.
"Alright. Alkia, bell." Alkia rang the bell, but I couldn't see anything. All I saw was his body dissipated into dust right before my eyes. I counted in my head.
~One... Two...~ I spun around to check behind me. ~Three... Four...~ Where is he? Where could he be? ~Five... Six...~ I felt my heart stop as something suddenly kicked the back of my left leg sending me down onto my knee. ~Seven... Eight...~ I saw Mr. Kamata reappear next to me. He quickly spun around and lifted his leg, round house kicking me like a plank of wood in a karate class. ~Nine...~
"Ten." As he said it my body fell to the floor and I laid there dazed and confused. I looked up to see Mr. Kamata standing over me. "Time to show your magic, Vanguard."
"What... kind of magic was that?..." I asked still confused. I slowly stood up.
"Projection magic. A special kind. 'Invisibility' is what you just witnessed. Or at least, what you didn't witness. I can project myself as invisible my manipulating the area around me. Very simple to be honest." He held out his hand as I attempted to stand. I grabbed it and he helped me up.
"I guess I have to show mine now right?"
