(Almost a month later)

"Rudy! Rudy. Come on! It's too hot to make me come looking for you" a blonde lady said as she picked up a dog toy.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to scare you" Klaus said as the girl jumped.

I watched from behind a tree in the darkness.

"Can I help you?" she said, sketchiness heard throughout her tone.

Klaus succeeded in hiding his smile as he said, "Yeah, my car hmm, my car ran out of gas a couple of miles back. Eh I feel like I've been walking forever yours is the first house I come to so I was just hoping I could use your phone?"

"Don't you have a cell phone?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Battery died. Look, I promise I'm not a serial killer I just want to use your phone" Klaus said shoving his "dead" phone into his pocket.

"Sure" she said as they both walked up the porch steps.

"So, can I come in?" Klaus asked, leaning against the door frame.

The lady turned around and crossed her arms over her chest again as she replied, "No, I'll get the phone and I'll bring it out to you"

Klaus frowned slightly before he said, "I thought you country folks were supposed to be more trusting"

"I'm from Florida" she challenged back.

"Well, that explains it"

Klaus grabbed her by the neck before compelling her.

"Now show me a little southern hospitality. Sweet pea"

As they went inside, I made my way up to the front door, already knowing that one of them would try to run.

"I bet you a hundred dollars that dog ran off to a house with air conditioning" the second woman said.

"What's going on" she said as she turned around, most likely finding Klaus.

"Please don't be alarmed. I was told Ray Sutton lived here" Klaus said.

"He's almost never here. He's on the road mostly" the second woman responded, a slight waver in her voice.

"But I expect he makes it home, once a month. That's what I thought. Where is he now? If I have to make you tell me it's going to be infinitely more painful for you. Hmm" Klaus said, probably wearing a smirk.

"I'm bored, let's speed up the process" I said quietly, loud enough for Klaus to hear me.

The woman ran towards the front door, I easily blocked it as se screamed in terror.

Klaus and the other one walked up behind her.

"I love it when they run!" Klaus said happily.

The second woman gave up and said, "He's in Toll. It's near the border. A bar called Southern Comfort, It's on Highway 41"

"Thank you my love" Klaus said playing with the first girls hair, "Now may my friend come in?"

"Y... yes" she said.

I stepped in and Klaus shoved her to me.

"Kill this one quickly. And make that one suffer" he said pointing the the second one.

"I'll be in the car" he said before walking past us.

"Please don't!" The first one begged.

I smiled and vamped my face out before quickly bitting into her neck, causing the other girl to scream.
