It Was All an Act

"Oh, she lives!" Rebekah said.

"What happened?" I said sitting up slowly.

"You took a beating. Niklaus has been breaking your neck all afternoon. Quite the temper really" she said looking at her nails.

"Why did he bring us back to Mystic Falls?" I said looking around to find us in the back of a truck.

"You can stop playing dumb now. It didn't take him long to figure out what you've been hiding" she replied.

"I'm not hiding anything. I've done everything Klaus has asked me to!" I said.

"No, you just failed to mention that the doppelgänger's still alive" she said opening the trucks doors.

"Where is Klaus now?" I said looking outside.

"With any luck, ripping that cow's bloody head off" she snarled.

I rushed at her, causing us both to fall out of the truck.

"Where is she?" I said choking her.

"You really want to protect her, don't you?" she said as she pushed me up against the truck and grabs a crowbar, placing it in my stomach.

"Consider me jealous" she replied sarcastically before going into the school to meet Klaus.

"Amelia" Elena and Jeremy say together.

"Klaus" I said ignoring them.

"Come to save your "friends" sweetheart?" Klaus said.

"I came to ask for your forgiveness. And pledge my loyalty" I said folding my arms across my chest.

"Well, you broke that pledge once already" he said.

"Oh come on! They mean nothing to me anymore. And whatever you ask of me... I will do it. I've done it all summer have I not?" I said nudging him on the shoulder.

"Fair enough. Let's drink on it. Kill them. What are you waiting for? Kill them" he said smirking.

"No! Amelia, don't. She's not going to hurt me. She already said..." Jeremy said before Klaus hit Elena so hard that she fell on the floor. I rushed over to Klaus, my fangs out. Klaus grabbed me by the throat.

"They means nothing to you? Your lies just keep piling up"

"Let them go! I'll do whatever you want, you have my word!" I said scraping at his hand to my throat.

"Your word doesn't mean much. I lived by your word all summer, during which time I never had to resort to this..." He said taking his other hand and stroking my cheek once.

He looked into my eyes, compelling me, "Stop fighting"

"Don't do this, don't do this" I begged him.

"I didn't want to. All I wanted was your allegiance. Now I'm going to have to take it" he said.

"Don't...Don't..." I said closing my eyes for a short second before opening them up.

"You will do exactly as I say when I say it. You will not run, you will not hide, you will simply just obey" he compelled me before dropping me on the ground.

"No!" Jeremy yelled.

"Now kill them. Ripper" Klaus said to me.

I feel myself vamp out, rushing over to Dana, killing her by drinking her blood.

A few minutes later I find myself feeding on Chad.

"It's always nice to see a vampire in their true element. The species has become such a broody lot" Klaus said smiling.
