I sat on a log I found in a clearing about 10 minutes after I arrived.

I looked at the sky and sighed.

I didn't know what came over me at that instant, but I was happy. Happy scared and sick.

The cloud blocking the sun moved and I was blinded for a moment.

When my eyes refocused I was David through the trees.

What is he doing here?!? I thought in a panic.

"Wow! You scared me there Daniel! This is where I like to get away from camp." He said as he sat next to me.

"Sorry... I'll go if you want." I told him.

"No! Stay. I like having company. Especially yours." He said, blushing.

I sat back down and he looked at the sky.

"Beautiful day huh?" He said.

I nodded. "Ya..."

"Ok. This is weird but would you do something later?" David turned bright pink.

Is he... Asking me out?!? What should I say?

"Depends... What are you thinking of doing?" I asked him.

"Um... I don't know... Whatever you want to do." He said as his face turned to red.

I shrugged. "Why not?"

I could see in his eyes that he was super happy.

"Seven is when the campers are supposed to be in bed. How about then?" He shrugged.

I nodded. "Perfect."
