"David?" I asked him.

"I'm thinking about adopting Max..." David said quietly.

"Why didn't you tell me?!?" I softly yelled.

"I was scared... I mean... I-" He studdered.

"No... It's ok David..." I told him.

"It's just... I feel bad for him..." He said, looking at the ground.

"You should go for it! He needs a father. Especially a good dad like you." I said as I smiled st him.

"But I don't think he'll want me as his father... He hates me!" David leaned his head on me.

"I beg to differ..."

"Huh?"

"I'm pretty sure he likes you deep down." I explained.

David nodded.

"So... What happened last night?" He asked me.

I glanced Maxs way and smiled.

"We bonded..."

"Bonded?" He asked.

"Ya..."

"What do you mean?"

"We couldn't sleep and we had a little talk."

David nodded and looked away.

Crash!

The doors flew open and David screamed like a girl.

"What the hell?" I asked myself.

"I'm gonna kill that fucking platypus!" Gwen screamed.

"What now?" I asked her as she sat next to David.

"It bit Space Kid and now he won't leave me alone!" She yelled in frustration.

"Gwen! I think it's infected..." Space Kid said as he walked through the doors.

"This is gonna be good." I said quietly.
