Don't Mind Us

One

I woke up.

I didn't know I would. I thought I'd die.

"Mr. Young! You're up!" Some nurse ran up to me.

Ugh... That koolaid really fucked me up. I thought as I held my head.

"Sir. You will be able to go home soon. You passed the poison and it's all out of your system." The nurse said happily.

I groaned. "You look like a fucking anime chick." I said harshly.

Her face drooped.

"I'll call the doctor so you can go home." She said.

I sat up anyway and walked over to the sink in the corner.

After splashing some water on my face I sat back down.

Then I noticed the card. It wasn't much but at least someone cared.

I picked it up and looked at it.

Get well soon! From: David. It read.

I knew that fucker missed me. I thought chuckling.

"Mr. Young?" The doctor asked as he entered the room.

"Daniel. Just Daniel." I corrected him.

"Fine. Daniel you will be fine. You can go home if you want." He said before opening a closet and pulling out my usual white attire.

"Thanks." I said when he gave them to me.

"Oh. And you had a visitor. I think he was your brother or something." The doctor told me.

"Name?" I asked, annoyed.

"Uhh. David Austin. He was a little annoying but he really wanted to see you." He said.

I lit up. "That's my Davey!" I yelled and pushed the doctor aside.

I hopped in my car and drove as fast as I could, ignoring the speed limit.

I looked at the card one more time and noticed something I hadn't before.

A second page.

I miss you Daniel...

It made me smile.

"I miss you too..." I said to the card.
