LILLIAN WAS STANDING BESIDE HANNAH as they were in the fields with a broomstick to their side. Newt was still in her pocket, and had enjoyed going around Hogwarts so far with her today. Though Newt did look nervous when he looked at the brooms. Lillian didn't know what to think of flying on a broomstick, she always loved flying as an owl. She felt like she could do anything when flying and to extent she could.
Lillian felt that it would be easy to fly cause if she could do it as an animal, how hard would it be on a broom?
Madame Hooch came in front of the Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaw and smiled. She blew her whistle to get their attention and all eyes were on her.
"Hello everyone!" She greeted happily.
"Good afternoon Madame Hooch." The class answered.
Madame Hooch walked to and from the line of students that were line up and looked to see the new students.
"Welcome to your first flying lesson." She looked at the students as they stood still. "Well what are you waiting for? Everyone step up to the left side of your broom, come on now hurry up."
Lillian and the rest of class did as they were told and walked over to their broomsticks immediately and waited for her next command.
"Now stick you right hand over the broom and say up!" She instructed and made a movement with her arm.
Lillian looked at the broom and she reached her hand out, she looked beside her and Hannah did the same thing as her.
"Up." Hannah said, and immediately the broom flew up into her arms.
Lillian looked down at the broom and confidently she spoke.
"Up." She commanded, and the broom flew up in her hands.
The broom was gripped tightly and Lillian smiled as she accomplished her goal. Hannah smiled as well and both of them looked at the broom in their hands.
"Now you are going to mount your broom." Madame Hooch told them once more and Lillian did what everyone else does. "Now you are going to slightly hover."
Lillian watched as a Ravenclaw hovered and she looked back down at her feet and decided to lift her feet up. When she reached above ground, she gripped the broom and tried to balance herself. She tried to remember what Miss Peregrine told her when she was first starting to fly as a bird.
"Remember, when flying you are balancing as if there is a book on your head." She whispered to herself, quoting Miss Peregrine. "If you want to fly smoothly, don't focus too much on the mental aspect but the feeling."
Lillian watched as most of the Ravenclaws and Hufflepuff struggled, with the exception of few. Madame Hooch looked at Lillian as she was there with such balance and control and eyes her curiously.
