Nicole's POV
I had packed almost all my stuff when Joseph and Persia came up to my room.
"Do you need any help sweetie?" Persia asked.
"No, thank you. I'm almost done. Just have a few last things to pack." I replied.
"Ok, take your time. There's no rush."
They both just stood there watching me while I put the last things in my suitcase. Turns out I didn't have that much stuff after all as it all fit into one suitcase and some of it went into a backpack. The excitement rushed through me once more as I closed the suitcase ready to go. I hope that this family works out for me.
"I'm ready to go." I said and smiled at them both. They were still watching me.
Joseph offered to take the suitcase for me so I let him but carried the backpack myself. He was a real gentleman. The kind of dad I wished for. He reminded me a lot of my real dad in that way.
I walked on the right side of Persia while Joseph was on her left. The three of us walked downstairs to be greeted by Mrs. Brownfield. She gave Persia some folders. I guess it had all the important papers about me in it.
"Is there anyone you'd like to say goodbye to before we go sweetheart?" Joseph asked.
I just shook my head without saying anything. I wasn't even going to say goodbye to Jessie even though she was my roommate. I gave a quick hug and said goodbye to Mrs. Brownfield and then all three of us left.
We walked to the car which wasn't parked that far away from the orphanage. As we got closer to it, Joseph unlocked it and went to put my suitcase in the trunk. I got in the back and Persia went to take the passenger's seat at the front. I was actually surprised that in all the time we were outside, we didn't get surrounded by paparazzi or any screaming fans. I would've thought that everyone knew what they were up to.

As we were driving, no one made conversation. It was a bit awkward if I'm honest. But I didn't know what to talk about and none of them talked either. Not even between themselves. So, I just sat there looking at the views out the window and thinking. I thought about what it would be like to call them my Mum and Dad now. Until now, they were my idols and I only dreamed of meeting them for a moment but now they're my family. That doesn't happen to everyone. I thought about what my life would be like with them in general. It was all so mind blowing. I still couldn't believe any of it.

The drive lasted for about 20 minutes and it was silent the whole time. But we had finally arrived at the house. As I got out of the car, I was in awe. The house was massive to say the least. I followed them inside.
As I walked in, I walked into a wide and quite a long hallway. There were paintings stuck on one wall and coat hangers occupied the other.
"Did you guys paint these?" I asked both of them pointing to the pictures.
"Yes." Joseph replied as he turned to me and smiled.
I simply smiled back and carried on following them deeper into the house. As we walked to the end of the hallway, on the left there was the door to the living room and on the right was a staircase that led up.
"Right, we'll show you to your bedroom so you can unpack and then we'll decide what to do." said Joseph.
"Ok, sounds good." I replied.
When we got to my bedroom, it took me by yet another surprise. Imagine a normal-size bedroom. Well, this was four times bigger than that. It had a massive bed, a wardrobe, a chair and a desk, and a bookshelf in it. And it still had a lot of space left free. There was even a door that led to my own bathroom.
"We'll wait for you downstairs ok? We'll fix something for lunch." Persia said with a smile.
"Yeah, sure!" I said and they both left the room.

It didn't take me long to unpack and put everything in place as I wanted it to be. I think it took me quicker as I was hungry and could smell the food from the kitchen. I walked downstairs, went through the living room straight to the kitchen. The table was served and the food was almost ready. Joseph was the one cooking and Persia was sat at the table. I looked about and decided to sit opposite her.
