Since I only had Maths homework, it only took me about half an hour to do it. It was pretty easy too. Me and Ellie kept texting each other alongside. She was doing her homework too and if we needed any help, we asked each other. I told her about my parents acting all weird and that. Pretty much all of our conversation consisted of her giving me ideas of what could be going on.

After we both finished our homework, I got an "Incoming call" alert on FaceTime from Ellie. I answered it almost immediately.
"Hey!" she said.
"Hey!" I replied.
"So, I had this other amazingly cool idea. What if you're meeting your biggest idol." Ellie said with so much enthusiasm that it made me laugh.
I almost told her that my whole family were my biggest idols but instead I said, "You sure know how to fantasize." and laughed.
"What, I'm serious!"
"Right... Nah, don't think so." I said and shook my head.

We stayed on FaceTime for another half an hour until Ellie had to go as her mum wanted her downstairs. We said bye to each other and ended the call. I stayed sat at my desk and decided to go through my social media.

Ten minutes later, Mum walked into my room.
"Have you finished your homework?" she asked.
"Yeah. It's all done. It was pretty easy." I replied as I turned to her.
"May I check over it quickly?"
"Sure!"
I opened up the page with the homework for Mum to see.
"Alright, good! Looks like you're good at Math." she said as she checked over it.
"I wouldn't want to brag but I'm alright at it. Me and my friend Ellie helped each other out a bit."
"Good that you've made such a good friend already on your first day of school."
"Yeah, we clicked pretty much the second we met each other."
"Good stuff." she said and then carried on, "Dinner's gonna be ready in about an hour. Until then, you can do whatever you like."
"Alright. What are we having? And what's Dad doing?"
"We're making chicken and veggie burgers. Dad's helping with the cooking. Wanna join?"
"I may as well. Though I'm not a good cook." I said and laughed.

We both walked downstairs and went to the kitchen where Dad was preparing some chicken for the burgers. The burger buns were already set out ready to be filled. There were a lot of them. 'Must be a lot of people coming' I thought to myself. All me and mum had to do was to prepare the salad and vegetables for the vegitarian option. That was an easy job so I helped her with that.

Once everything was prepared, all three of us started filling the burgers and put them in the oven.
"Do you want to invite Ellie to the party?" Mum asked.
"Can I?"
"Of course you can."
"Well, I don't know if she's free but I'll go give her a call."
I went upstairs back to my room where I had left my phone. I dialed Ellie's number. It rang twice and then she answered.
"Hello?" she said.
"Hey, my mum says I can invite you to this dinner party we're having tonight. Do you want to come?" I said to her.
"Yeah, sure! Sounds like fun so I'll come."
"Alright, I'll text you my address."
With that, we ended the call. I texted her the address as I was walking back to the kitchen.
