It was now 7pm. Time to order pizza. Until now, we spent all the time watching family movies and talking. We watched The Parent Trap and then Holes. Holes was Joseph's choice but I loved the movie too. When I was at the orphanage and was at school, we read the book in our English lessons and then watched the movie afterwards.

We ordered pizza with pretty much everything you could ever have on it. They said that it will take about half an hour to arrive. I am so excited. This family is great! We have already laughed and had so much great time.

Half an hour had passed and the pizza arrived. Me and Persia went to the kitchen to get some plates and Joseph paid the delivery man and brought the pizza in. It was massive. Big pizza for a not so big family.

"Let's have a pizza contest!" I said really hyped up.
"A pizza contest?" Joseph asked laughing.
"Roll it on girl! What are the rules?" Persia said, also laughing.
"Simple. Let's see who can eat the most slices of pizza." I said with a big grin on my face.
"Right. You know you'll fail at your own game." Joseph said.
"Yeah, but you won't win either. I will." said Persia.
And with that, we began my so called contest. We each took our first slice of pizza and started eating. It wasn't long till me and Persia were on our second slice shortly followed by Joseph on his second one. After a while, it seemed like Persia was gonna win as she was eating faster than the two of us. But then I raced ahead. Joseph was still behind me and Persia. And there he was, saying that he'll be better at this.

By the time we all finished eating, I had eaten five slices of pizza, Persia and Joseph had three each. I won the contest. At that moment, Joseph's face said it all. He is a sore loser. He was not happy at all and me and Persia laughed at him for as long as we could.
"You do realise we'll remind you of this forever now right?" I said still laughing.
"Well, you might. Will Persia though? She has a soft heart. She'll feel sorry for me soon enough." Joseph said.
"Oh will I though. I'm with Nicole on this one even though I didn't win either. But the fact that you said that she'll lose her own game and that you'd win, is just hilarious because look at you now."
"Oh come on Darling!"
"Oh don't pout. You'll get over it." Persia said and laughed.

We sat there talking and laughing for a while with the music playing in the background. It was such a great night. Then Persia took the plates and went to the kitchen to wash them. I decided to go help her. I figured it was time for me to bond just with her since I've bonded with Joseph and the both of them together quite well.

We spent about fifteen minutes in the kitchen tidying everything up and talking about various things that came to mind. We actually bonded. For a moment today, I thought that wasn't gonna happen for a while as she was quiet and didn't say much.

After sorting the kitchen out, we went back in the living room where Joseph was flipping through some magazines. We decided to watch another movie so we watched War Horse.

It was 11pm by the time I decided to go to bed. I gave them both a hug before going upstairs to my bedroom.
"Night guys." I said as I left the room.
"Night." they both said in unison.

As I got to my bedroom, I went in and closed the door. I turned on the night lamp which was just beside my bed. I got in my pyjamas, brushed my teeth and then climbed in my bed. I turned my night lamp off and just layed there for a while. I thought about how great today has been and how loved I felt. This family really is amazing. For once, I don't feel ashamed about living with someone who adopted me. They are really loving, caring, kind and they sure know how to have a good laugh. After a while, I drifted off to sleep.

Joseph's POV
Not long after Nicole went upstairs, me and Persia decided that it was time for us to go to sleep as well. After all, it was gonna be a big day tomorrow. Back to work and now we also have one more person to plan the day for. We went upstairs, got ready and got in bed. But before that, we went to check on Nicole. She was sleeping peacefully. We talked about how the day had gone and that it was a good day.
"You know, for a while today I thought you weren't gonna talk to the girl. You didn't say much." I said to Persia.
"I think she thought that too. But everything's fine now. We bonded when we were in the kitchen. We talked about a lot of things in those fifteen minutes we were there. She's a lovely girl. She's our daughter after all, Joe."
"Yes she is. And I'm glad you two found each other. Let's go to sleep now. We've got a big day ahead of us."
"We do indeed. Night now."
"Night."
