Let's talk a little about John Laurens' childhood! So get ready because this will not be a happy trip.
As you may know, John's mother died, but also like 65% of his siblings. Eleanor Laurens gave birth to 13 fucking children (God help this woman jfc).
Only 5 of them outlived their toddler phases like the badasses they are, but then one of John's little brothers, James, died while being with John in Europe, and he blamed himself because of it.
So yeah, fun.
ANYWAYS~
Since he was very little he showed a lot of interest towards nature and exposed great artistic talent since a young age. (I know I already mentioned this BUT HE DID THE TURTLE DRAWINGS WHEN HE WAS FREAKING 16, LIKE, WHAT)

I literally got traumatized only by reading the tag.
