Surprised to see me update? I am 😅 I think this is the only book that I can update semi-regularly 😂 Well, the Puma bids you farewell as you continue on...

Snowflakes.

Thousands upon thousands fell, and yet, each one was unique to itself.

Each one crafted down the the last detail, dancing in the wind as they fell to the ground, layering up into snowy mounds.

It's funny. Snowflakes, so small, so delicate. Gather enough of them and a mountain can be created.

Two snowflakes, unique to themselves amongst the mass of snowflakes around them, drove in a serene silence, watching the world unfold into a winter wonderland.

Their hands laced together, smiles plastered to their faces.

A beanie covered a certain blonde's head. Mittens covered the hands of one devilishly handsome man.

And they drove, straight through the flurries, a beautiful forest on either side of the road with snow on the leaves of the evergreens.

It was such a perfect scene. It would have been even more perfect had nerves not been kicking around in Emma's stomach, invading her mind with worries of what Killian's family might think of her.

Killian, on the other hand, wasn't worried in the slightest. He knew Emma. He knew what a kind hearted person she was. Surely his parents would appreciate that.

Though there was one thing.

Killian's family, as he'd explained to Emma, was quite wealthy. His parents considered themselves... above others, and tended to be a bit stuck up from time to time. Well... it was mainly his mother. He'd warned Emma to try not to take things personally as Ava Jones could often be rude without realizing it.

That hadn't helped Emma nerves in the slightest. If anything, it'd made things worse.

But as the young couple drove through the lovely landscape towards Killian's home in Maine, neither of them could help but smile. They had a smacking three weeks to spend together and their spirits were high and hopeful.

"Nearly there, love," Killian grinned, squeezing Emma's hand. They'd been driving since six in the morning and it was late evening now. "You still anxious?"

"Even more than before," Emma said with a nervous smile.

"They'll love you, Swan. I know it," Killian replied, bringing her knuckles to his lips.

Right around a half hour later, Killian passed by a 'Welcome to Storybrooke' sign and pulled up in the driveway of a large, modest house with a welcoming air. It had two floors, a balcony up front and on the second floor, a beautiful garden glistening with snow, and a stone path leading up to the doorway.

"This is beautiful," Emma remarked in awe.

The biggest house Emma had seen until that moment was most likely the orphanage she lived in for the majority of her childhood. But this, well, this was enormous in Emma's eyes.

Killian and Emma grabbed their bags from the back of Killian's truck and brought them up to the door. Killian pressed the doorbell as Emma admired her surroundings.

A rattle of the doorknob came from the other side and Emma looked over and Killian for assurance. He smiled slightly as his mother was revealed at the other side of the door.

"Killian, m' boy," Ava Jones said in a think Irish accent, pulling Killian into a hug.

Killian's parents, Brennan and Ava Jones, has met during a foreign exchange program. Ava had visited England from Ireland, and right then and there, she and Brennan fell in love. The mixture of an English accent and an Irish one is what was passed down to Killian.
