We had been sitting comfortably at a frozen yogurt store now. He had been telling stories now, about himself and about life here. I had been genuinely laughing at him and enjoying his company for someone who was so outgoing.

"So if i'm going to be honest, I can't stand kiwis since that. Just the smell of them, yuck." Seeing him shiver in disgust before I smile and laugh. There was a discomfort in my throat from laughing so much but I still enjoyed it. He was staring at me and smiling before taking a bite of his Frozen yogurt.

Enjoying the moment before my phone went off. Grabbing it before it flashed my Dad's name. Feeling my face pale as I shakily answered it.

"Da-" barely getting a word out before his voice echoed through. Feeling my body shrink as people turned and looked at me.

"Where are you?! I've been worried sick! Then when I call MarkI find out that you're with that kid who came to the house! If he doesn't bring you back,oh help me god I will rip out his throat and shove it up his ass." I heard the phone click off as I stared at him mortified. My Dad had never talked to me like that. Standing up as i watched him do the same.

"I'm sorry Nova, this was my fault." I shook my head no and it was completely my fault. I followed behind him in complete silence as we walked back to his car. I could tell he wanted to say something but he kept quiet. The drive back was quiet until we were almost home.

"I want to see you again Nova." I watched as his eyes held conviction but I already knew I was going to be grounded and doomed into my room. Pulling out my phone again and gesturing to it as I was opening up a new contact list for him. He told me his number before I quickly messaged him.

"It could be fun." Putting my phone away as we reached home. Seeing the door being yanked open and my dad had a vicious look on his face. Getting out of the car and walking up to him.

"Go to your room Nova, we will talk about this later." His voice sounded rough and he didn't even look at me. Walking inside and going upstairs to my room. Walking to the window before seeing my dad grab him by his collar before he said something to him. Unable to hear them as Leo said something back to him in a smirk, equally threatening looking.

i saw my dad push him into the car before storming back inside. Leo's eyes caught mine before I hid back into my room. Well, there just went all hopes in me finding a friend. I could hear my dad's footsteps coming closer to my room. I heard him stop outside my door before mumbling something and simply left. Leaving me on the bed before I felt my phone buzzing.

"Good because despite the protective Dad, I want to get to know you more. "-Leo. Feeling my lips smirk before flopping down on my bed. Such a crazy day.
