Nico told me the hilarious story of how my dad found out we were together and it was great. I could care less that my dad doesn't care about me anymore. If it gets him to back off.

By lunch my second day I was feeling a lot better. I was relieved that my dad would start to back off and it was nice to have Hades there. That actually helped me a lot.

But Tyson had come to visit. And of course dad ranted about it to Tyson. He had to, right? It's what he does.

It was sweet. Tyson gave me one of his best hugs that I love and we started talking about this, that, and the other thing before he asked about my love life. And he asked because I asked about his. I heard he broke up with Ella. Which, he did. It didn't work out, sadly. He's got a crush, though. He won't tell me who.

He asked about Annabeth.

"Well, I... Don't know." I told my little brother and shrugged. "Annabeth and I broke up a while ago, Tyson. She was cheating on me and now she's going to have a baby. So hopefully she's doing good. She got her karma getting pregnant."

"Oh..." He remarked and then thought for a minute about something. "But daddy said that you had a date like this week."

I nodded my head, confirming that what Dad told him was right.

"Yeah, I did." I assured him. "With someone else."

"And you really like them?"

"Yes I do."

"And they really like you?"

"From everything I can tell, yeah."

"And they make you happier?"

"Of course."

"And you make them happier?"

"I hope so."

"And you'll be together for a long time?"

"I think so." I promised him. "I hope."

"Can I be in the wedding?"

"Of course."

He smiled ear to ear, and he didn't even know who I was dating. He just wanted to make sure that I was happy with it and that he could be in the wedding. He asked all the same stuff with Annabeth.

But then he realized that it's probably important to know who he'd be a brother to.

"Oh yeah!" Tyson recalled. "Who you dating?"

I mentally prepared myself for my brother to hate me.

Because honestly, who knows what my dad told him last night. If Tyson agrees or not, I don't know. I really hope not.

"Well," I started off. "Do you remember Nico? You guys met a couple times. Hazel's brother."

He perked up.

"Yeah!" He remembered Nico. "He used to be scary but now he's less scary and more cool. I like Nico. What about him?'

"Well he's my boyfriend." I think it was the first time I actually told someone that up front. At school they might ask, most people just saw us holding hands or whatever and knew. The closest I've gotten to this was Micah. When I rejected him. "Nico is the person I'm dating."

His face dropped and my anxiety spiked.

"Oh." Tyson remarked pretty short. "But... Isn't that bad?"

"Isn't what bad?" I asked, wanting him to explain it before I said the wrong thing.

"Well, Nico's a boy." My little brother stated simply. "And you're a boy. Daddy said that boys can't be with boys because that's naughty. Boy has to be with girl. You can't have baby with a boy, Percy. Bad things can happen, the monsters can come get you and hurt you if you be with boy."

I laughed.

"Tyson, monsters won't come after me because I'm dating a guy." I explained to my brother. "They come after me because I'm dad's kid. the same reason they go after anyone else. And just because we can't pregnant doesn't mean we can't have kids. There are people out there who don't want kids but end up having them. We can take one of their kids that they don't want and give them a good home. Just because dad says something it doesn't make it true, Tyson."

"It doesn't?" He looked a little scared.

"Not at all." I promised him. "Even gods have been with their same gender. Apollo hits on a lot of guys at camp. Most of the gods don't care. Dad just hasn't opened his mind to it yet. He's very stuck in his ways. Is that okay that I'm with Nico?"

My little brother nodded his head.

"Is it okay if I tell you who I like?" Tyson asked me in a very quiet, sort of scared voice.

"Of course, buddy." I insisted. "You can tell me anything. So who's this crush of yours?"

"Grover."

I just about chocked on my fucking apple juice.

Because, one, he just went over saying being gay is bad, two, they used to be terrified of each other.

But okay, I can live with this.

The idea of Grover (he's short, man) on Tyson's shoulder's honestly warmed my heart and cured me for like five minutes.

After telling him that that was really sweet and whatnot, he asked if it was okay that he liked boys and Grover.

"There's no reason it shouldn't be fine." I assured him, not knowing Nico was standing at the door. "But if Daddy doesn't like it, if Daddy if ever mean to you, leave. Call me and I'll come pick you up and you can stay with me or I'll bring you to camp if you want. Alright? Daddy wasn't nice when he found about Nico and I, but he can suck it up. If you're happy, that's all that matters, Tyson."

"Really?"

"Duh." I insisted. "And plus, people at camp are really nice when it comes to this sort of thing. Just make sure you keep me in the know if Daddy is ever mean about this, okay? Promise."

"Pinky promise!"

We pinky promised before he left and I just had to smile. He's still so pure and that's what I love about him. He keeps it simple. He's a good little brother to have.

But Grover on his shoulders would actually cure my depression, I'm just saying.
