When The Seconds Change

Chapter 32

"No way!"

Caitlin smiled at her long haired colleague as she told him the good news. 

"Dude, congrats."

Cisco hugged Hunter and gave Caitlin a hug also. 

"Thank you. I wonder how Emely's gunna react."

"She'll be bouncing off the walls in excitement. Where is she, by the way?"

Barry came walking in. "She's in New York."

"She decided to leave now? Without even saying goodbye? Uh uh. Wait til she gets back."

Barry wore a confused expression. "What do you mean by that?"

Caitlin looked at Cisco. "She may have told us she was leaving?"

Barry sighed. "Right. Because I wasn't there for her."

Caitlin felt bad for him. He was going through issues with Emely and blamed himself for it. 

"Barry," she said as she walked over to him, "it's not your fault. You both can fix things. I know you can. Cisco, Joe, Iris and I have watched this from the beginning. We know things will work out."

"Thanks, Cait."

Barry met up with Cecile and Joe at Jitters, while Emely had finally arrived to her aunt's place. She rang the doorbell and a teenage girl answered. 

"Who are you?"

"I'm Emely. Who are-"

"Oh, so you're the girl that keeps calling. Ma!"

Alice wiped her hands on her apron and went to the door to see why her daughter was calling her. When she got there, she saw Emely and two little babies. 

"You look just like your mother."

Emely nodded. "I know."

"Emely, this is your cousin Shelley. Shelley, this is your cousin, Emely."

Shelley looked Emely up and down before shrugging and going back to her room.

"Don't mind her. Come in."

They went into the living room and Emely began to explain everything to her aunt. 

"That happened?"

Emely nodded. "Yeah. And I should also tell you that I went back in time to sea someone from being killed and that made a new life for me and when we reset everything to the way they were, some things had changed. Like Shelley. You didn't have a daughter before. You had me. You told me once that I was like a daughter to you."

"And that I didn't need one because I had you."

Emely smiled. "Exactly."

Alice glanced down at the baby staring at her. 

"Are those yours?"

"Yes. These are my kids. You're a great-aunt, aunt Alice."

"Can I hold them?"

Emely nodded. "You can hold Kehlani first. Then Samuel."

Emely's phone started ring and Emely saw that it was Barry.

"You can go into the kitchen."

Emely did so and answered it. 

"Hello?"

"Emely. I, uh, wanted to talk to you."

"About what?"

"How things are between us."
