Chapter 46- Barry

Barry went home after picking up the twins from Lydia. He found the USB on the door and watched the video with the twins next to him. 

"Hi, Barry. I know that you're wondering where I am and what happened to me. But before I get to that, I have to tell you something. And this is the only video that I found the hardest to make. Barry, I love you. I promised to you that I would love you always and you promised me. I don't want to be apart from you, but it's going to have to happen because I took Jay's place in the Speed Force. I did that because I felt like I needed to find myself again before doing anything else. And I know that this must hurt because it hurts for me too and I'm sorry."

Emely couldn't contain her tears and neither could Barry.

"I love you, Bartholomew Henry Allen. Forever and always. Just like we said. I'm not mad at you for dating Iris anymore. I forgave her for that. And I forgive you for everything that has happened between and I hope you can forgive me. This is something that I needed to do and Jay helped me do it. I love you. I love you and I hate doing this but I had to. I know that you're crying at this point because I am and we always cry together. I'm gunna miss you and everyone else, including Kehlani and Samuel."

In that moment, what truly broke Barry's heart, was hearing the twins first words. 

"Mama."

Barry pressed paused and he couldn't take it anymore. He couldn't watch the love of his through a video, knowing she was already gone, and not cry. 

"Mama."

The twins reached out to her and Barry felt like he was going to explode from the tears. This isn't what he wanted. He didn't want this for her. 

For them. 

For their family. 

Barry took some deep breaths and tried to watch some more. 

"I wrote something for you. I, Emelia Alice Allen, promise you Bartholomew Henry Allen, that during my time, I will never forget you. You are the love of my life and I had a feeling you were when I first said that I loved you. I never loved anyone else like the way I love you, Barry. If you want to date Iris for the time that I am in here, you can. It's okay.

Barry shook his head rapidly. He didn't want anyone else. 

He wanted her. 

"And I have something to show you."

She held up the wedding ring.

"You see this ring? It has a home. And that home is right here."

Emely placed the ring on her left ring finger. 

"I will always be your wife, Barry. No matter where we are. Now, open the box."

Barry found a box on the coffee table behind him and he opened it. 

"Will you always be my husband, Barry?"

Barry nodded as he sling the ring onto his left ring finger. 

"I will."

Emely sniffled and wiped her cheeks as she continued. 

"There something else I have to tell you. Something exciting. Open the envelope that's on the kitchen counter."

Barry went to get it and he opened it to find a sonogram. 

'It's twins.' 

Barry was broken but still continued with the video. 

"You're going to be a father, Barry. We're having twins again. Another boy and girl. And I can't wait to see you again. I love you."

The video ended and Barry started to sob. 

"And I love you."
