Kayla Wilson
On Sunday morning I woke up and hurried to make breakfast for the twins before I had to see Nico off at the Airport. As I was making breakfast, dad came downstairs. He seemed to be in a good mood.
"Hey, kids," he said to the twins.
"Dad, did you get a job yet?" Tina asked hopefully.
"Yes, I start tomorrow," he smiled at her.
"That's good, dad," I said, feeling relieved. I was getting worried about our financial situation.
He gave me a curt nod and sat down for breakfast. As I placed plates in front of him and the twins, my phone beeped with a new message.
'Hey, you ready yet? Don't be late, I have to be at the Airport in an hour." Nico's message said.
I quickly went upstairs get dressed. We had decided that I would walk to the motel that Nico was staying in and that we would get a taxi to the Airport. Nico had initially claimed that he'd go alone, since I'd have to come back alone after dropping him off. But I insisted and he had to relent.
While getting dressed, my thoughts wandered to Zach. I hadn't seen him since the day he showed up at my house with Lucy. It had been 4 days since then, and he didn't go to school on Thursday. He texted me saying that he had to take care of Lucy and his mom. I could tell that he cared a lot about them. After I had calmed him down the day he came to my house, he had suddenly realized that he shouldn't have left his mom alone. He was too worried about Lucy at that moment that he did what he thought was best for her. He was worried sick that she might do something to hurt herself, at the state she was in. He had left with Lucy not long after that, and messaged me later that night saying that his mom was feeling better than before.
Grabbing my phone and keys, I ran down the stairs.
"Where are you going?" Dad asked as I walked towards the front door.
"I'm going to drop Nico off at the Airport."
"Don't be out too late. I have to go out at noon and someone has to be there to watch the twins," he said.
Nodding my head, I stepped out of the house and started walking to the motel.

"I wish I could stay longer than this, but since my school starts tomorrow, I don't really have a choice," Nico said with a frown.
"I know, me too. When will I see you again? Promise to call me every now and then, okay?"
"Of course I will. I'll visit you again, the next time I get a holiday. You could visit me too, you know," he said hopefully.
"I can't, you know I have to take care of the twins. Plus, I don't want to run into anyone I used to know. It would be too stressful. Specially not Jake." I rolled my eyes.
"You haven't met him yet after everything that happened, right?" he asked.
"Yeah, and I don't plan on meeting him either," I said in a bored tone.
"Is it because Zach's there now?" he teased.
"Pfft, no," I scoffed.
"Sure, sure," he looked at his watch. "Ugh, I gotta go. I'm gonna miss you so much foxie. Don't get into too much trouble okay?" He hugged me tight.
"I'm gonna miss you too," I hugged him back, fighting tears.
"Don't worry, you're gonna be fine. You were doing fine even before I came to visit you, right?" he said softly.
