Lightning flashed across the cloudless night sky. Stein sat in the dark staring out at the city - his city - in fact he considered the entire continent of Pangaea his. Deep in thought, he clicked his finger and thunder roared to life. Lightning flashed dangerously in vein like surges; spontaneously they shot out at the skyscrapers around the city.

Running a hand through his midnight black hair the man leaned back in his chair loosening the tie at his neck.

"The night couldn't be more beautiful," Stein whispered waving his hand and both lightning and thunder flashed and roared just outside Anubis' headquarters.

As he unbuttoned the gold cufflinks of his tailored suit a small smile involuntarily spread itself across his otherwise emotionless features. The very scene reminded him of his youth, running around in the rain, reveling in the storm all for the girl he loved - his best friend - Zelina.

He shook his head, trying to shake the memories and unwanted feelings that always came when he remembered his childhood. It was something though that he couldn't shake since she was always there with him.She was always the calming presence like the feel of breeze on his skin; she was also a raging force like a tornado that threw his life in a whirlwind - she was his everything.

And it seems Stein couldn't deny the feelings for her that had only grown with the centuries. She was gone now, lost away in the endless torment that is his memory never fading, always there.

Just as he was about to snap his finger and create the kind of storm that had Zelina rushing out of her house to dance in the rain a rap on his office door brought him out of his day dreaming of a better time.

"Come in," he said. His voice was deep holding authority.

Zero found a sigh leave his mouth as he threw back in the leather chair he sat. He was currently in one of the many conference rooms in Anubis' HQ. He had requested a meeting with Stein - okay requested made it sound like he had the power to order Stein at his beck and call it was more the opposite when it came to the two men.

This was merely a mandatory meeting to inform Stein about the progression of his assignment.

Was there progress? Well Zero wasn't too sure if what he had could be classified as progress or a setback. It seemed that the more he investigated the more questions came up with the vague inkling about who could be behind this but he didn't want to bring it up with the lack of evidence he managed to get his hands on in the past day.

This particular speculation in question was a dangerous one to bring up with Stein especially if there wasn't anything solid.

The room Zero and his team sat wasn't the biggest but it was his favorite it could be considered elegantly bare if there was such a thing but it was what he thought of it. The large oval table he sat stood as the center piece with a seating for eight - Zero sat at the far end deeper in the room backing the floor to ceiling tinted glass window that made up the entire wall.

There was a bar on his right where S and Bea were currently talking - it seemed they were always talking - the right wall consisted of a huge analog clock built into the wall.

Carter sat on Zero's right leaning over the table flipping through the notes collected from the past day on the table's built in touch screen panel. He was biting at his fingernails with furrowed eyebrows.

"Is Damian here yet?" Carter asked never looking up from the screen.

"No...he should've been here by now though," Liv sighed flipping through the police report of one of the wielder incident that happened two weeks prior.
