"You know, maybe he does like me," you said to Maggie on the way back to the farm. You had just finished telling her every encounter you and Glenn had had since Atlanta. She had demanded it.

"I have no idea how you've never seen it before," she insisted. "I mean really, (Y/N)? This great guy who you are attracted to is always reassuring you, holding you whenever you're upset, and constantly being affectionate towards you, and it takes you this long to realize?"

You sighed. "He might like me. That's not for sure. I mean, I wish, but let's look at every angle here. He might just want to stay friends. Maybe that's how he acts around everyone."

"Are you actually kidding me right now?" she almost shrieked. "When he was in that well, first thing he did was scream for you. He sure doesn't act that way around me. Or Rick. Or Lori. Or literally anyone else."

"Well, maybe," you said as you approached the farm.

"Oh. My. God. I could ask anyone here and they'd say he likes you," she said, directing her horse to the stables. You followed.

"Prove it," you said. She smiled.

"Lucky for you, here he comes," she said, waving him over as she dismounted her horse.

"You can't ask him," you hissed. She held up her hand.

"Glenn," she said. "I keep telling (Y/N) that this guy used to like me, and she's telling me he didn't. Thoughts?"

"I-" he cracked a huge smile like he was being pranked. "I don't know?"

"Okay, well, he always held my hand." She shot a glance at you. "He always made sure I was okay, and he could not stop smiling whenever he talked to me."

Glenn nodded. "He probably did."

Maggie turned to look at you. "I told you so."

She walked off and left Glenn and you alone.

"She's insane," you told him.

"Heard it!" she yelled.

"She also has really good hearing," you said, causing him to laugh. "And she told me you went down a well."

"Oh, yeah, that's why I was coming over here," he said, and then he hugged you tightly. "For a second, I didn't think I was coming out of that well."

"I'm glad you did," you told him. "If you didn't make it out, who would hug me?"

He laughed. "I'll make sure to always be around then, huh?"

"Um, you better," you replied, smile growing bigger on your face.

Someone called his name.

"Except right now." he laughed. "See you later."

He ran off and left you standing there, smiling like an idiot.

Maggie walked by. "Told ya. Beth owes me candy."

You laughed. Then, Lori jogged up to you.

"Did you get it?" she asked.

"I feel like this is a drug deal. And yes," you said, pulling the pills and the test out of your bag. You handed them to her. "If you need someone to talk to about that, I'm here."

"Thank you," she said, and stuffed the items in a bag she had. "Bye."

And with that, she was gone, too.

It was strange. You weren't thinking about the past. You weren't thinking about where you were going next. The farm was peaceful, and it didn't feel dangerous.

You walked back to the house. You were gonna see what Maggie and Beth had been betting on.
