you may call it fate or destiny when you meet the love of your life, but the reality is if it weren't for time you would never have known they were The One to begin with.
i hate how things turned out. i hate that i have to go and i don't have a choice. i hate that i can never see you again in this lifetime. i hate that this happened to me. i know you feel the same way ethan thomas, i know you do.
after all, you've said it to me every time you see me. i tell you everything will turn out okay because everything usually does, but you still cry. i still cry.
it sucks. i know, but there's only so much you're able to do with stage four cancer. i was positive i could have beaten it. turns out it has beaten me. this will be the last that time will stop for me, time will stop eternally soon, i know by the time you read this i won't be here any longer. god, i hate thinking about that. i'm going to miss you ethan. i really am.
i love you so much.
just please take care of the kids. find happiness whenever you can and i will meet you up here when your ready. take your time ethan. enjoy the world. you deserve it all.
your love, genevieve cordova

(this story is now in third person.)
"Hey dad, are you okay?" The girl came walking into the study with her brother by her side. The two twins were worried as they stared down at their father behind the large mahogany desk, whose tears had soaked his face and part of his shirt collar.
The father nodded as he set down the papers he was reading, "Yeah, yeah, I just...it's hard to believe it you know, hard to absorb."
His daughter came towards him and hugged him as small tears streamed down her face, "I know, but she's in a better place."
The son walked around to the desk and took the papers that were laid upon it and looked them over, "Are these from mom?"
The father nodded. The son looked over the pages once more and laughed to himself, "Sometimes I forget your name is Ethan not dad."
Ethan laughed. He sometimes forgot that too. His daughter grabbed the pages from her brother and quickly read through them. It was silent and a tear started to fall down her cheek.
Her hand came up to her mouth as she read, "Oh dad...she loved you so much."
Ethan began to cry more as he looked at his daughter who was almost an exact replica of his wife except she had his freckled face.
"Your mother was the best thing that happened to me." He whispered.
His son crossed his arms and leaned against the desk across the room, "When did you know? That you loved her I mean."
"Check page ten," he smiled.
The daughter flipped though the pages and moved towards her brother as the two of them read what their mother had written.
His son spoke, "Do you think that's true? That Time is a being?"
Their father smiled, "How can I not? Time has stopped for us in our greatest moments, it brought us together. It is what made me realize how much love I had for your mother. It is the reason I'm who I am today. The reason you both are here today. Time is a wonderful thing, don't ever forget that."
