Jack and I pick up some crowbars and wrenches and we each take one side of Ratchet, as he ignores us and puts his full concentration into repairing the groundbridge.
"How's it going, Ratchet?" I ask nervously.
"Ugh, I've repaired the damaged conductors, rerouted the central conduits, but the ground bridge still won't receive power!" Ratchet yells in frustration and punched the ground.
Jack and I start to hear small clanking noises and turn around to see a giant swarm of scraplets. The scraplets take off and start flying toward Ratchet.
"They can fly?! You never said they could fly!" Jack yelled and started swinging at the air.
"Sorry! Must have forgotten!" I yell back sarcastically and run toward Ratchet as he falls on his back, yelling and trying to swat away the scraplets.
Jack grabs the fire extinguisher and starts freezing the scraplets. The other four enter the room and the scraplets swarm the already injured autobots.
"Bee, Bulk!" I yell and run to help Miko and Raph. Soon, the floor is littered with dead scraplets and the three large bots are laying on their backs in pain.
"Is that all of them?" Jack asked as he went around spraying the ones that were still twitching.
"Harldy." Ratchet replied painfully. "These were just scouts."
"We are so dead." Bumblebee groaned and threw his head back.
"We aren't dead yet. We have to get the ground bridge operational. If we don't Optimus and Arcee will never survive and you three will be dinner for those freaking flies!" I yell at him.
"If we get the ground bridge working, we could use it to send the scraplets anywhere on Earth." Raph realized.
"Why not back to the Arctic? We already know they don't do cold." Jack added.
"And we could bring Optimus and Arcee back at the same time." I say.
"Sweet! One stop shopping!" Miko yelled.
"Think, Ratchet! What else could be causing the ground bridge to fail?" I ask.
"There could be a breach in the energon fuel line!" He replied happily after thinking for a few moments.
"I can-" Bee starts but then falls back down before even lifiting his shoulder off the ground.
"If we weren't breaching." Bulk answered. "If only one of us could get back there and fix it."
"Um, Hello?" I ask, frustrated. "Four nonmetal humans, one of which being a mechanic standing right in front of you!"
"Where can we find it?" Jack asked.
"And how do I fix it?" I add.
"The energon line actually runs along the right side of the hallway leading to your room, Jade. You should be able to find the breach there. All you have to do is tighten the pipes enough that the energon doesn't leak. But remember to be careful, energon is highly flammable." Ratchet said and we all nodded as we took off toward my room.
"I need my tools, you guys find the breach!" I yell. I run into my room and bring out my tool box to see the three humans tiptoeing around the scraplets on the ground.
"They can't hurt you guys, come on!" I yell as I spot the leak. We fix it quickly and run back to the bots in the main area of the base.
"Ratchet, all systems go!" I yelled.
"Fire it up!" yelled Miko.
Ratchet activated the ground bridge before finally collapsing and passing out.
