Most teenage girls my age worry about school, boys, makeup, their parents, and other completely normal things. I, however, am not in anyway normal.First, lets start with school. I've never gone to public school before. I've always been homeschooled by my family. However, I've always had access to the internet so I know just as much, if not more, than a normal student in school. I absolutely love astronomy and biology. Although they're not my favorite things in the world, I have quite an interest in them. That may or my not have to do with the specific beings that actually taught me, but we'll get to that.
As far as boys go, I've never really considered having a relationship. not only have I never been to public school but I barely go out into the civilized world under any circumstances. Sometimes My family let's me leave for the occasional grocery store trip or to get something special to eat at the local KO burger. However, there is a member of the family that I don't think of as a brother as much as the others.
Now whenever I see or hear about makeup on the internet, I have to pause to roll my eyes. I hate the idea of making my face feel like a coloring book, just to pretend to be something I'm not. I have no one to impress, and even if I did, I would go about it in a way that didn't make me feel like a painting. I'm what would be considered a "tom-boy". I may love astronomy and biology, but my heart definitely belongs to mechanics! I love the feeling of being under a truck trying to get it to run smoother. I love the smell of oil, gasoline, and diesel. Again, pretty sure this is do to the family I spend my days with.
Finally, I can talk about my amazing family. There not the biological family that most people have. In fact, I don't even necessarily have a mother or father. I do have two father figures, a sister figure, two brothers, and great friend that I love with all my heart. You may think their names are weird, but we'll get to that.
First, theres my father figures, Optimus and Ratchet. Optimus has an aura of power in him that just make me feel like I'm protected around him. He really cares about everyone in the family. He has helped me train and has taught me to fight like a real leader, like he is. He's taught me a lot about morals and discipline. Ratchet has taught me just about everything else. He's always been the one to homeschool me. He's taught me everything; from English to World History even his own world's history. He's even taught me about science and mechanics. The is why I spend most of my days with him.
My sister figure's name is Arcee. She's the smallest out of the family, except me obviously. She loves going out for drives and she loves to teach me how to fight. Because she's the closest to my size, she' taught me the most about fighting. She's also the one that takes me into town when I need to get out of the base.
My two brother figures are called Bulkhead and Cliffjumper. Bulkhead is huge and really clumsy with his size. He is usually the one that ends up breaking stuff for me to fix; sometimes on accident and sometimes on purpose when we're both bored. He's taught me the most about where they're from, a place called Cybertron. Bulkhead used to be in a special ops group in the military where he was from. His group was called the Wreckers, but I've never met another member of his group. Before the military, he was in construction, so he can build and break stuff and that's about it.
Cliffjumper is my other brother figure. He's super cool and we have a lot of fun going out and driving. He's a bit of a loose cannon, and has a bit of a temper. But he loves to have fun and let loose plenty too. Cliff and Arcee are really close, because they were both partners during the war.
The other member of the family isn't exactly a brother figure. Bumblebee is the youngest out of the family besides myself, and he's what they call the scout. But he's more than a brother to me. He's my best friend in the world, and I'm defiantly closest to him. The thing is, he can't talk. At least, he can't talk like me and everyone else. He can only make beeping sounds. I've learned how to understand most of what he says, as well as the other autobots. During the war they were in, Bumblebee was wounded badly and captured. The leader of what my family calls the Decepticons, Megatron, ripped out his voice box. I hate the story whenever they bring it up, it makes me feel bad for Bee and I know he hates that. Bumblebee and I are always together and I always tell him everything. We've always been super close but I've never exactly felt comfortable calling him a brother, he's always felt like something more to me.
My family is more like a team, a team of warriors. They're all soldiers in a civil war from Cybertron. Optimus is the leader and he always makes the decisions. The thing is, Cybertron isn't another country they're from. It's another planet. My family is comprised of giant aliens, about twenty feet tall each. Not only are they aliens, they are robotic aliens. Their planet, ravaged in centuries of civil war, was deemed uninhabitable. They travelled to Earth, and made a sort of home in a military base near a small town in Nevada. They hadn't been on this planet very long before Bumblebee and Cliffjumper went on a "slow" drive, and had bit of an accident a few miles out of town. Apparently, they found me there; a small, infant, female human. As far as they were concerned, I had no business to be there and they had no idea what to do. They decided to bring me back to base and consult the rest of the Autobots, the term used to describe the bots on their side of the war. They all almost immediately took a liking to me, much to their own surprise.
They eventually consulted their liaison to the human world, Agent William Fowler. With his occasional guidance, the autobot raised me as one of their own. The base in a rock a few miles outside Jasper, Nevada has been the only home I've ever known. And I'd never trade my crazy life, or my crazy robotic family for the entire world.
