As we were driving, I started thinking more about what Miko said. Do I really have those kind of feelings for Bumblebee? The more I think about it, the more it sounds absolutely crazy, but true at the same time. He helped raise me for one thing, that's odd enough. Then, add the fact our size, age, lifespan difference and it sounds preposterous. But, oddly enough, it makes sense. the reason I can't call him family as easily as the others is because the way I feel about him.
I notice that during my daydreaming, I was slowing down my driving and swerving a little too much.
"Are you ok?" Miko yelled from behind me. I nodded my helmet covered head and sped up, trying to shake the thoughts from my head.
As we arrived back to Jasper I dropped Miko off back at her house. I left abruptly and returned back to base. When I entered base, I notice Bulkhead and Bumblebee are hooked up to cords with flowing energon and sitting on cots.
"What happened?" I asked as I dismounted the bike and took off my helmet.
"Bulkhead and Bumblebee are just enduring standard defrosting procedure." Ratchet answered. "they both went out on a mission in the Arctic and uncovered an unknown vessel."
"But we told you, Doc, we're fine!" Bulkhead protested and tried to stand up and leave.
"No! You know prolonged exposure to subzero temperatures can cause permanent system damage!"
"Woah, what happened to you, Jade?" Bulk asked as he turned to me.
"Miko decided to give me a makeover, what do you think?" I asked and turned around so they could see my hair.
"You look awesome, Jade!" Bee answered. I smiled in return and turned to Optimus as he entered the room.
"Ratchet, have you found anything on our Arctic find?"
"Not yet, I can't do anything with it while it's frozen solid. I have to wait until tomorrow morning, and I could use somebody's help." Ratchets said and glanced down at me.
"You got it, Ratchet! Bright and early." I replied. "For now, I'm gonna head to bed. Miko tired me out more than the cons." I said and turned to my room. I heard a chorus of "Goodnights" from the bots as I entered my room. I quickly took care of all the products I bought today and slowly fell asleep as soon as I got into bed.
{The Next Morning}
Ratchet was prepping Optimus and Arcee for an Arctic voyage, since Optimus wanted to find out what else he could discover from the area they found the frozen pod.
"Remember, once your core temperature drops into the blue zone, system failures aren't likely, they're imminent." Ratchet stressed as he opened up a ground bridge.
Just then, Bulkhead and Bumblebee arrived to base with Jack, Raph, and Miko.
"Ugh, shouldn't they be in school?" Ratchet groaned.
"Um, on a Saturday?" Miko asked with attitude. "We have the whole weekend off to spend with you!" She added with a smirk in his direction.
"I wasn't expecting a carpool. What gives, Arcee?" Jack asked as he approached the small bot.
"Tag team, Jack." She replied. "It's my turn for exploration duty."
"Well , that's too bad." Jack said with a smile. I chuckled at him and realized where he was going with this. "It's a beautiful day for a ride. I'd hate for you to feel guilty about leaving me indoors."
"Arctic exploration duty." Arcee stressed.
"Indoors where it's warm." Jack mumbled and walked in the direction Miko went.
