It's already been three weeks since we got Optimus back and my 'punishment' as I like to call it has started. I walk into the main hanger of the base.

"Optimus, do you have any plans for today?" I asked innocently.

"I've planned a scouting mission. Why?" He replied with his deep voice.

"Please let me come with you!" I begged and folded my hands together in desperation. "I haven't been confined to the base for so long since I was a child and I'm suffocating!"

"The air's ventilation should be functional; I will mention it to Ratchet." He replied and walked away.

"It's just a figure of speech, Optimus. I'm begging you, let me come with! I'm already mostly done with the punishment anyway!"

"Your confinement to base has not been a punishment. We are looking out for your well being."

"Well, I'm physically fine but mentally if I don't at least go out for a drive I will go insane, please!" I begged and gave him the puppy dog eyes that strangely only work on Optimus. He looked at me with an unreadable expression.

"Very well. But, you must promise not to transform at all." Optimus emphasized 'at all'.

"I swear, I won't!" I say and skip excitedly to climb in the driver side door after he transformed into his normal semi-truck form, but he stopped me.

"We will be outside communications range, it would be wise to leave a note for Ratchet or Bumblebee to find should they be looking for you." I nod and turn back to my room to write a quick note explaining my intermission of freedom. I run back out to the main hanger where Optimus is till waiting for me and jump in the driver's seat. We drive out of the base instead of groundbridging so we must not be going too far.

I love the conversations I have with Optimus. He's almost as easy to talk to as Bumblebee and he always has more stories to tell me. If not from his own experiences, he always has information about Cybertron's history from being a clerk at Iacon. He always seems so interested in my life as well, and asked me about the modifications I've made to my arm and legs.

"Well, I've made them a bit sleeker so they don't freak people out as much." Now, instead of having a metal mannequin's arm, it looks like any other arm but with a chrome finish.

"I thought June forbid you from welding." Optimus said in an accusing voice.

"Actually, as it turns out, Raph is quite skilled with a welder and he chose to help me out some." I replied. We continued talking as Optimus stopped about three hours later and transformed so we could walk into the cave. We found a really small bit of energon, which at least made it worth coming all the way out here and we started heading back to base. I fell asleep about halfway back but Optimus woke me up when we got to the base.

"Do you think anything interesting happened at base today?" I asked right before we drove into the main hanger and saw all the bots, as well as the other teenagers and Fowler all staring at us. Optimus transformed after I got out.

"What's with stares?" I mumbled to myself. Optimus must have noticed too because he stopped walking forward.

"Is something wrong?" Optimus asked.

"We were just-" Arcee paused. "Wondering where you've been."

"We haven't been able to reach you." Bulkhead added.

"I have been outside communication's range." Optimus replied and reached to his side to pull out the energon we had found. But, when he reached for it, all the other bots took defensive positions and trained their blasters on him. Optimus raised his other hand in surrender. "We were in a subterranean energon deposit." Optimus said and showed them the energon. They all paused and glanced to each other. I stayed slightly behind Optimus' leg,  just incase.
