-Karkat-

"Ewv, no. Forget vwho you used to be and howv you used to be criticized," Cronus flicked his finger on a cigarette, letting some ashes fall into a tray, "Think of it like this: Your past self is dead. The only vway you're gonna succeed is if you're vwillin' to be reborn as many times as necessary, capiche?"

FUCK. YOU. CRONUS!!!!!!!!!! I've been practicing this shit for so many hours and the only thing you've done is blow through an entire pack of cigarettes and boss me around!

"Vwhat? Ya' got somethin' to say to me??" Cronus stared at me and I stopped, "I can read your face. Looks like ya' vwanna stick a knife dowvn my throat. Got a problem vwith howv I do things? Do you ewven vwanna vwin?"

"OF COURSE I DO!" I tried to catch my breath, "You're a fucking idiot if you have to spew shit like that. I'm just mad that you're not telling me what to correct! You're just telling me how awful I am!"
"Vwell, you are avwful." THIS BITCH- "Hence vwhy Kanny called me in to help ya'."
"Well, if you're so great and high and mighty, why don't you show me something instead of just standing there, killing yourself slowly!"
Cronus laughed and put out his cigarette, "A demonstration, eh? Fine..." He nodded to me to get out of the way. I walked to the spot he was standing when he said, "Pick vwhatewver song you vwant and feel free to change it at any time. Use my phone connected to the bluetooth."

"Fine." I smirked and picked up the phone, scrolling through the different songs. After getting through a painful amount of Original and Covered versions of Grease songs, I clicked a song of the hip-hop genre. As soon as the music started, he began to move.
All of the other dancers in the studio stopped to watch Cronus. People murmured amongst themselves, talking about how long it's been since the last time Cronus danced in front of people. I turned my attention back to Cronus, watching as he started to speak.

"Vwhat you don't understand is that your legs are far too out of character-"
I changed the song to disco, and his moves changed as well.
"You don't knowv vwhen to stop focusin' so much on if you're doin' it right rather then just letting your instincts kick in and let your body do it right for you-"
I changed it to jazz.

"Also, hawve you thought about vwhy I told you to-"
Latin.
"Change the music any time?-"
Ballet?

"It's because you don't knowv how to transition betvween your mowves."

Contemporary?!

I felt my eye twitching by the time he finished dancing for a solid four minutes.
HOW DOES HE NOT LOOK TIRED?

"Nowv then... Vwhat else do you vwant me to showv you? I can show you much more and explain vwhat's vwrong if you vwant to vwaste practice time. Actually, I think I can showv you one of Kanny's fawvorite dances he liked to see vwhen ve used to be alone in a bedroom-"

"I'M GONNA GO PRACTICE NOW!" I shut up and ran back out onto the floor.

-John-

I was trying to catch my breath from practice, grabbing onto the ledge of the rink when Dave brought up my music issue. I told him there wasn't music yet.

"Seriously? You have chosen the music yet?" Dave sighed, "John, you gotta trust your intuition! Find something that inspires you, maybe it can even be a memory. Like when a girl said she loved you-"
"WHAT?!" I said angrily.

We both froze for a few seconds in an uncomfortable silence. We stared at each other, surprised by how angry and loud I shouted. Especially the fact that I shouted AT him.

I made a sudden gasp of realization of how rude it sounded, "IMSORRYIMSORRYIMSORRYIMSORRY! I DIDN'T MEAN T-TO SNAP AT YOU! I'M JUST REEEEALLY STRESSED RIGHT NOW-"
"No." Dave interrupted, "It's my fault. I forgot that you never really had any romantic relationships with anyone. I shouldn't have- ... Anyways, why don't we call it a day?"
