Chapter 19
I stared at the letter. Stacey screamed behind me while Alex stared from me to Stacey.
"Who's it from?" Alex asked shuffling in his seat. I knew he was tempted to tear the letter away from my hand and read it by himself.
"Danieeeeellll" Stacey screamed loudly.
"Oh, wow. All this from him?" Alex said pointing his fingers to the flowers around the room.
"Yeessssss" Stacey shouted like a crazed teenager while I simply sat there, a smile playing on my lips. I was too overwhelmed with everything that happened from yesterday that I stayed quite taking in all the information from the letter. I read and re-read the letter over and over again. By now Stacey had moved towards Alex and both seemed to be having a discussion of their own.
"Hey guys" I said, holding the letter and looking at them but none of them responded.
"Guys"
"Hey" I shouted.
"What?" Both of them snapped together.
I felt like misbehaved kid, under their angry stares. "I was wondering, how he knows my office cabin to send me the flowers?" I said squirming in my seat.
Stacey giggled while Alex seemed to be deep thought.
"He's Daniel Wellington Vallerie, I think he'll know." Stacey said dreamily while I gawked at her.
"I think it's the front desk. All we have to do is, say the name and the floor. Either way, if you only say the name, they'll simply search the database and send in the package." Alex said shrugging his shoulder.
"Does the front desk also give the house address?" I asked raising my eyebrows.
"Your house address?" Alex said motioning me to hand him the letter. I gave the letter to him.
"However, Daniel did it Vall, it's so romantic." Stacey said giggling and I couldn't help but join in.
"God, you girls have gone mad. Romantic psst, what if he's a crazy stalker Vall."Alex said throwing the letter on the table.
"Hey" I shouted taking the letter in my hand checking if it was torn by his accidental throw.
"Alex, its Daniel Wellington, he can never be a crazy stalker. Stalkers don't give their names." Stacey said pointing a finger at Alex.
"Ya whatever I don't trust the guy." Alex said.
"This is not about you Alex, Vallerie do you want to go?" Stacey asked looking in my direction.
I looked from Stacey to Alex. Alex was already giving me a doubtful look. A look that read not to go. Stacey was all glee. I needn't even look at Stacey to know what she expected my answer to be.
"I'll go" I said to Stacey.
"Are you serious?" Alex said, but his words were muffled by our loud screams.
"Oh my god, there's so much to do, first we need to shop a dress and some matching stilettos, and your make up and everything. We have only eight hours left. You coming along Alex." Stacey said.
"Do I have a choice?" Alex said standing up and pushing his hand into his pockets. He looked disturbed. Since today is Sunday, we were allowed to wear clothes that didn't define the word formal. Alex in his red t-shirt and blue jeans looked hot. I blushed slightly erasing the thought out of my mind. Stacey got up and pulled me up from my chair. Locking our hands together she pulled Alex and me towards the elevator. None of had got our cars, and so we hailed a taxi.
